Great news on Nick Coe.

Tray Bishop news is concerning. Even the backup plans to our other backup plans don't want to play QB here.

Here is a list KN put together of "Sleeper Picks" in AUs recruiting classes. TTs may not agree with one of them lol

Zach Clayton 3*
Quindarius Car 3*
Neiko Thorpe 3*
Daren Bates 3*
Chris Davis 3*
Sammie Coates 3*
Robert Leff 3*
Marcus Davis 3*
Devaroe Lawrence 3*

Those aren't sleepers... Those are a bunch of average to above average players living up to their 3 star ranking.

Eta: or maybe I'm missing the joke.

What does he mean by "sleeper picks?"

I'm guessing he meant sleeper like "sleeping Giants." Like recruits that were good but the media and recruiting services slept on them. Or maybe like, players that never maximized potential and were dormant. Like "don't wake up the beast."

Half of that list never woke up whatever he meant.

Yeah they were supposed to be sleepers like Senderik Marks who was a 2 star that turned out to be beasts.

The majority of the list is funny though

I guess guys that were underrated recruits that winded up making a meaningful impact/roles to the teams, with some having significant impacts. Majority 3 star recruits in the big 6 SEC don't pan out that well. That's my guess

I'm going to hold my tongue on Neiko Thorpe.

I'm holding out for this year but I would have taken Neiko the last couple of years.

He was a liability a lot of times, but the guy is on an NFL roster so I can't hate too much.

He's done well for himself, but I expect him to either be released or dropped down to practice squad soon. Oakland revamped that entire secondary through free agency and draft.

His athleticism wasn't questioned. King Dunlap got benched at OT at Auburn and has been one of the better OTs in the NFL

Apparently 3* QB Kaderious Toney worked out for coaches

Still no offer but guessing he is the backup we will pursue if we feel like can't get back in it with Narcisse or Mond

Or whiff on Tray Bishop. I really hope Joey Gatewood is as advertised.

We may not be able to swing him. He is committed to UF which isn't necessarily a sure thing flip if they continue to put out quality seasons

I think no matter what on Bishop we end up taking a true type of QB this class if we can. As for Gatewood, ya he has all the measurables will interesting to see how he develops

Dude is good. I watched him in a few games last year. The only thing to worry about is his grades and attitude, from what I was told. As far as athleticism, he's taller than me already. And I'm 6'3. He can scramble very well. Needs a little more accuracy.

I'll let Sean White be the judge of that

Aubie starting to look pretty good for Jacoby Stevens. Definitely no lock or anything but I think we may be a slight leader for him over UGA and LSU.
