So sounds like we're off to a good start.

From 247:

- Confidence has never been higher with Markail Benton. Some at Auburn think he'll pull the trigger sooner rather than later

-Auburn trending with Netori Johnson

Auburn still the team to beat for Tray Bishop

Auburn leads for Will Ignont and Chandler Wooten

Auburn is the school that stands out to MJ Webb

So that leaves us leading for 2 pretty highly rated LBs, a 3 star LB, a 4 star DE, and a 4 star ATH. And that's just from guys that visited this weekend.

Also sounds like Travis Williams is a pretty good recruiter

I get the sense he'll be Dameyune-esque within a few years.

Let's hope so. One thing I thought hurt us w Ellis' staff is that all those guys were older. They had been good recruiters in the past, but it seems the young coaches have made a much bigger impact across the country recently in recruiting

ETA: it also helps having a Defensive Coordinator that actually recruits

We know McGriff and Garner can recruit... and Steele has a solid reputation... if Williams is a strong recruiter, that bodes well for the defense.

Will be an absolute battle for him. IMO he's right there with Markail Benton as the best LB in the state. I think Moultry would be the quickest contributor, but Benton has higher upside just due to his great athleticism.

If we sign a class of Benton, Moultry, Ignont, Wooten, and Monty Rice....my goodness. Go ahead and put us down for a top 2-3 LB class.

I think he'd do alright in a regionals but state tourneys there are insane, not sure he'd make it.

Wonder what it's like to sign 5 LBs in a class?
