It's basically means as much as committing as far as the recruit goes. The recruit can still go where they want.

This is as close as sure as you can get at this stage. I was super nervous about him but with it being the dead period & him "officially" reaffirming his commitment I think it's pretty safe to say he will be a Tiger.

Isn't Kyle Davis supposed to be an early enrollee as well? If I recall we had 9 or 10 who could be there. Hoping we pull in Jackson tomorrow

hearing at the moment that it's looking good for us and Derrick Brown. Don't believe the bama hype with him. His position coach is the most important thing with him apparently, so Pruitt to Bama isn't a big deal. He loves Rocker and Garner and with Rock not at UGA that is working out in our favor.

Derrick Brown, Marlon Davidson, Antwuan Jackson & Paul James are all guys that could have big impacts next season. Now we just have to find some guys to play in the back 7

Secondary should be pretty good, with good coaching again. Now linebackers, we shall see.

Rodney has had to deal with the negative recruiting out of Athens the last couple years. Now Rocker is looking for work, and Rodney is still getting paid.

Very few schools would let that happen. NCAA made it clear that you run a huge risk of accepting a FA for a kid who won't go to your school

Didn't LSU get boned by that?

Schools retroactively lose unlimited contact privileges for recruits who flip if they used their "unlimited contact" granted by financial aid paperwork.

Due to this, no school would risk accepting dual FAs and getting slammed by violations like LSU did for accepting a Financial Aid then recruiting the committed kid over the dead period. It isn't a locked NLI, but it is dang close to being one once dead period starts.

I think we can scrape together a reasonable LB corps from the following.

Tre Williams
Darrell Williams
Deshaun Davis
Javy Mitchell
Jeff Holland
Richard McBryde
Jordan Colbert (6'3 ~215? he grows into LB)

totally agree. Especially Tre, Darrell and Holland. I think Davis will be solid too.
