Per Rivals Antwan Jackson still with tOSU and AU at top. He plans to official to tOSU when they play Michigan State next month. He likes the community up there and the dline coach. They talk several times a week per Jackson. He doesn't plan on using all 5 OVs but may visit Bama and maybe USCw

If White continues to progress, we don't need Evans. I'm not terribly impressed with him. I think he's good, for sure. But he's nowhere near Cam or anything similar. Not a big arm, not near as much wiggle. He's suitable I think, but the teams he is playing look like a HS team on video. I'd rather ride with White, JJ, Barrett and Queen on the roster next yr and add Narcisse the following yr.

USC's coaching staff is about to change and Cal wouldn't be a real threat to AU.

Well Cal is about to put a QB in the first round. I don't think they're the style offense he Evans is looking for though.

Gus has Cam Newton + turned a DB into a huge QB threat inside a year. Took Cal a couple years for their QB to really develop

I disagree.
No he's not the Jedi Cam was and not the runner Nick was. But he has plenty of wiggle. He's powerful and quick. Throws it well enough, seems to have command of this offense. And he's DOMINATING. It would be different if he had only pedestrian numbers.
But accounting for 42 TDs through 8 games is nothing to sneeze at. If he's playing against high schoolers, he's also playing with them on his team.
Don't know how high White's ceiling is, Not sold on JJ to be better, Barrett is a true frosh, Queen will never play and Narcisse seems to be a passer more than a runner.

Passing will put him into the league, not running the read-option. His inflated JUCO passing stats are probably making him feel pretty good about his arm, and Cal's offense would obviously showcase that better than ours.
