I've heard that this kid has some concussion history which may be something to watch. I think he tried to commit to a few schools (Bama, OSU) but was turned away.

Which is why I was asking why people take the composite as the #1 ranking not too long ago. Just seems to me that, if people think 247 is the best at what they do, they would take their own rankings as the "#1" ranking out there, instead of lumping all the others together, especially with how much people complain about Scout and ESPN.

So why was Westry told to look around? Boom didn't want him/think he was a good fit? More room for more talented players? Another reason?

They like other DBs better, period. Irvin was the first, the Javarius Davis kid looks next, and they've got a couple others they are high on as well (Redwine, the other Davis committed to Texas, Dinson).

Many do...the composite is just a cool tool that gives an overall ranking of a player IMO...I just personally like the composite because every service evaluates differently and it just gives a good feel of where a player stands across the board. I prefer 247s site but I like rival's rankings...who knows whose is the most legit.
