I like that young people care. Good on the UK Wildcat players for taking this symbolic stand.

If the season is not going to happen, it would be a good time to go ahead and fire Gus. That gives the new HC an entire year to hire assistants and implement his new system.

Ya know how many coaches in the SEC have wins over $aban's Bama teams? Great! Now do you know how many have more than one win? It's a small club with only one member, Gus Malzahn.

AU's had some bad injury luck to end a few seasons. But Gus has done OK. And now with the addition of Coach Chad Morris to run the offense while Coach Steele runs the defense...well...hush on up.

A big old "Nope!" from me. Tubs has no experience or qualifications to run an athletic department. His past ventures in business and finance have been, well, less than covered in success and glory. And he's essentially quit at his last three jobs as head coach. Pass.

He dumb.

Well, he's now associate head coach and perhaps has a chance to have his hat in the ring for the head coaching job...at soon to be NCAA hammered Ole Miss.

How the hell does he not use a burner phone or get someone to make that call?

Based on the presser, it wasn't just that one call, That call does appear to be what led them to look deeper, but it wasn't just the one call that ended his tenure at Ole Miss.
Tubs quit. He met with the AD, was asked for a plan going forward, asked to think about it for a few hours and came back and resigned. Know who says so? Tubs. And you know what lends credence? He did more or less the same thing at Texas Tech. When asked for a plan to improve going forward, he quit. Simple as that.

Better measure of SW's performance since becoming the full time starter after the three-headed QB experiment against Clemson:

82-111 for 1047 yards, 6 TDs and 1 INT
73.9% completions
9.4 yards per attempt

Last 3 games:
47-61 for 677 yards, 4 TDs and 1 INT
77.0 % completions
11.1 yards per attemp

And you expect our Tigers to win with THAT? ;)

Because we don't play ULM every week?

And SW's completions percentage and yard against LSU were against...ULM?

0-16 now!

So hitting him in the hands is an overthrow?

If your name is Sean White, for some the answer appears to be "Yes!"

Even if its against bammer, and AU is in the the hunt for the SECW?

Me in 1978: Dear Coach Barfield, Why don't you put William Andrews, Joe Cribbs, and James Brooks in the backfield at the same time? Signed, a twelve year old kid

Oh man...me and you both! I was 17 in '78 and I wanted to see Barfield ditch the veer and run the wishbone. Andrews at FB and Cribbs and Brooks at halfback. (And IIRC, that would have been Charlie Trotman at QB.)

It's not like the AU offense didn't run up and down the field with Cribbs and Brooks anyway, but still...

That's why despite before the season many people hoping for a 2-2 record people are pissed we aren't 4-0 because we have had many opportunities to make that happen. I am hopeful we have started turning a corner on offense because our defense is good enough to put us in position to win but needs offenses help to finish it off

I hear TigerPaw1. I really think that on offense our Tigers are not far away from being good. The issues in the red zone have all looked correctable to me, and now that Malzahn has turned over play calls to his offensive coordiantor CRL (with the able assistance of Coach Herb Hand looking down from the booth), points are about to start coming in bunches. (Yes, this old Ox sees everything through orange and blue colored glasses.)

Can I upvote that post/link to SW in thaty LSU game 10 times? Please!

What was the proprietors name back then? Will Woods, right?

Yup. Will Woods. He sure jumped into the internet as a business op at the right time. I hear that these days he's some VP or something with Rivals.. Sure used to enjoy it when he'd show up and spank some arse on The Bunker as a few of us boys back then occasionally went at it. (Not me though. Oh no, not sweet little old me!)
