I think he'd have better production that a Stevens could or even Melvin Ray

I'll bet you they have HUGE seasons in 2015...

And I read where Durkin is interviewing at North Carolina.

I would imagine this has to affect Florida's recruiting and puts us in a better position with some of those recruits we're targeting.

Looks like we missed on D. Walker.. Pretty sad considering we have his teamate committed and DE is a huge need for us. Rodney Garner has done an awful job this year. I can see why UGA fans were glad to see him go.

UF just hired MissSt DC Geoff Collins. So Durkin is out, not sure what that does to T-Rob. I would think there's a chance he's out too. But just losing Durkin is going to make it easier to pull some of those recruits.

Did he commit somewhere or is it just looking hopeless?

They will want to keep Robinson regardless... he's a good recruiter with strong south FL ties.

I wonder how that will affect their entire D class for this season? Maybe it will be a huge Flipmas for us this year.

Collins was a meh DC. His scheme was very similar to Ellis. I think his pass D was almost last in the country. If we can lure TRob, it has got to help.

Florida only has 2 commits on D right now. There ain't much flippin to be done.

An AU recruiting note related to Durkin leaving Florida though is he was Jeff Holland's lead recruiter. Durkin out should make AU the heavy favorite for JH.

You would think. But you could have said the same thing about Durkin. He's a better recruiter than Collins and defense was never UFs problems. I would have kept him.

Damn, I had no idea. That really is shocking. I guess most of their targets were waiting on how Muschamp did this year.

Missed out and backing off can be 2 completely different things and it looks like we are backing off. If so that would come from Boom not Garner. Keith speculated a few days ago that Walker may not be a good fit for Boom's mixed 4-3/3-4 scheme.

May not matter. Both his recruiters from MSU are still there and he signs tomorrow at 8 AM.

Dead and quiet period rules per AU compliance

It will be interesting to see if Boom and Garner can make some headway with a guy like Marquavius Lewis these 3 days having unlimited calls.

Not questioning you, but is there any substance to this that we can read? Like a link or something, I thought we had a good shot and it I doubt we "backed off", if anything, he backed away.

Somebody posted on AUC he heard we had backed off then Keith had a kind of cryptic reply saying he would have a full story later today. That along with Keith saying a few days ago that Walker may not be the best fit for Boom's multiple D is all we know right now.
