Correct. Kodi Burns was "proven" after the Chick-fil-a bowl. We all know how that turned out
Have we gotten to the point of comparing Kodi Burns to Jeremy Johnson now? Really?

I'm out.

This isn't xbox... bringing in a guy for one year and would be a slap in the face to JJ who's waited his turn for two years... and has a real chance of screwing with an already fragile team chemistry.

Except you wouldn't be getting MORE QBs because Johnson would transfer out. Why would he stay? Ergo, you just traded one for one.

If you're going to throw shite on the wall, at least have some kind of leg to stand on when you do it.

Kodi was 1/4 in that bowl game. Granted, that one completion was a 22 yd TD, it was still a 25% completion percentage.

Trying to compare the two situations is laughable at best.

ETA: and he had 69 yards rushing with a TD on 13 attempts. 17 plays, 2 TDs, 91 yards, 5.35 yards per play.

Don't go full retard. But the feeling of our fanbase towards Kodi is on par as it is with JJ right now. Maybe you are not old enough to remember. I'll trust Gus on this one. He knows QBs, and has a proven track record with transfers.

And that would also be trading a 1 year player (Braxton Miller) for a 2 year player (Jeremy Johnson).

We honestly don't have any idea what we have at WR for next year, even if Duke and Sammie leave. Melvin Ray showed out in the first half against Arky. He disappeared after that. I think it is no coincidence that the first half of the Arky game is when JJ, a true passer, got most of his snaps for the year.

Not even close. You're the one going full retard. Johnson is light-years ahead of Kodi Burns as a passer, and the physical talent isn't even comparable.

Your comparison is shite.

Not really. One has looked much better than the other did. MUCH BETTER.

He has looked good passing to Duke. So does everyone else who throws his way. Again, IF Gus is considering this, I will trust him, and not some blow hards on a message board.

People were excited about Melvin Bray too for awhile based almost exclusively on JJ's passing to him. Tony Stevens actually made some catches as well.

Didn't the Braxton rumor start with some blow hard on a message board?

That's why I have included "IF" within my post.

ETA:

I have no knowledge on Miller. But if Gus wants him, I am fine with it.

Yea, didn't JJ complete most of his passes this season to Ray?

05, you might just want to sit this one out for a while.

He was 17 for 21 with 4 touchdowns against Western Carolina last season with Coates catching 0 passes, and Duke not even on the roster.

How many times did Kodi Burns complete 17 of 21 passes?

If Gus brings Braxton Miller in, I'd imagine he has good reason for it. You are actively lobbying for him to do so.

Also, not like coaches don't make mistakes. Gus hired EJ after all.

I love what I have seen in JJ. That doesn't hide the fact that his toughest competition has been Arky.

This isn't a Coker situation where JJ looks "good in practice." Johnson has excelled in literally every game he has played in. There has not been a game he has participated in where he did not demonstrate that he has elite potential.

This also is very similar to his elite play in HS. Kid is a baller and has shown it at every stop
