I wouldn't mind if we miss on Gibson and Locksley as long as we sign Jowon Pass next year
The thing I find odd is that the coaches don't seem to want to commit to a type of quarterback. We have JJ and White, both pocket passers per se, and we have Queen committed now for this class but they want more of a pure scrambler to go with him.
I would like Gibson in this class due to his ceiling but I also see him as a project quarterback that would need a couple years to fully develop. He would be worth the take.

I'd take Patterson over Pass. Those Carver kids have been extremely hit or miss...with way more misses.

They don't want a type of QB.
They want good QBs.
They can easily make use of either in the Gus offense.

Don't sleep on Deondre Francois in this class at QB. He's a good'un. If we miss on TG and Kai he could very much be in play
I love Francois, but given how long the Gibson recruitment is expected to drag out I have a hard time seeing Francois here as I expect him to have a decision sooner. There are rumors that he will commit to Oregon during The Opening...Florida will also claw back in IMO.

No need to limit yourself to one type of Quarterback. Just get the best available.

He is a SDE type, a la Davonte Lambert. IYAM, he may start out at DE for us. But he may move inside on 3rd down or he could play there permanently.

It seems like the coaches would be more worried about DTs than DEs unless they are going to move some of them inside. We are losing a lot this year.

I kind like what we're doing with the bigger stronger DEs. I like the lanky speed rushers too but it was frustrating watching Lemoneir get chopped down at the line so often his senior year.

I'm not understanding our DLine recruiting right now. Don't know why we aren't going after D'Andre Walker harder. Seems like we could lock him up if we wanted him.

Lemon would pretty much admit he packed it in his Junior year and just wanted to get to the league

Based on how we have done with our recruiting on the DL the last two years. I am going to trust we will not be disappointed come signing day. That is my hope anyway...

Yeah, same here. That's my only concern with this class so far the way it's shaping up, but it's way too early to be concerned about it. I'm sure we'll start offering some other DL down the line and have a decent shot at them.
