Don't jinx it. You've had some bad luck over the years.

5 crystal balls for Swinney to Ole Miss today and yesterday - includes Keith Niebuhr, Kipp Adams and JC Shurbutt.

Interdasting...

Could we pull another running back from them late in the game, a la Peyton Barber and Tre Mason?

Three commits now rated 4 star player per Rivals (Auburn bump)

@JHokanson: #Auburn commit D'Anfernee McGriff, JUCO commits Tony Bridges and Jason Smith all earn new four-star rankings LINK

Not unless we miss on Jovon. He is #1 on the Rebs RB board. He is still #3 or 4 on our board. We are not recruiting him nearly as hard as the Rebs.

A long way to go to NSD but for the 1st time in 14 year history of football recruiting sites, Auburn is in the top 3 on all sites.

I am almost certain he will commit to Ole Miss. I hate it for him/us because he would be great in our Offense. Glad he gets to go somewhere like OM though, he can do well there. I just hope he has an off game one week every year.

Per Roquan via AUC, AU is now recruiting him at MLB instead of OLB or Star.

We got a lot of work to do if we want to finish there.

On a scale of 1-10 how good is Jason Smith as a passer? For the sake of this Arguement lets say Nick Marshall is a 6.

He's a better passer than Marshall. 7

Edit: I take that back actually, I would put him on Marshall's passing level.

His scout profile has his senior pass stats, no percentage though. It was something like 1500+ yards, 19 TDs, 5 INTs... Against solid competition, but nothing earth shattering.

His big time running ability alsu affected how the D played pass co and his stats.

no doubt... makes it hard to get a read on just the overall numbers... i was trying to find a completion percentage but couldn't. The number of passes thrown and completion percentage would give a better idea of his efficiency.

It wasn't very high.

He's a good athlete and made a lot of broken-down type plays with both his arm and legs. His line was pretty dismal and I always attributed many of his stats to that.

He looked really poised in the 7 on 7 tourney he was in his senior year. Really threw the ball well and had decent footwork and mechanics. But I think his ceiling is higher at WR. If he could have come in out of HS I think QB would have been a good spot for him.
