he'll probably be a January of 2014 guy, if he ends up coming back.

right, my bad... meant 2015... he's gotta graduate before he can enroll.

@RussMitchellCFB: If I was a 1-&-done prep & could play anywhere, & was tied to my city/state, I'd stay home & cement my in-state legend status

Yeah, and that's why JUCO WR's are hard to waste a scholly on. If it takes them a year to adjust, you really only have 1 yr to play.

TWR notes per AUR LINK
-about 150 recruits in this weekend
-All commits attending except DQ, DM, and DL (most of the recruits attending are in the UGA list thread. The missing are not big names but I will add them there.)
-no names given but 4 prospects committed to other schools are expected, all on D. (My guess is 3 of them are already listed on our UGA list thread.)
-FSU leads for Jordan Prestwood but may not have room for him if they get a commit this weekend from their top OT target, Kareem Are
-DQ is concerned with the limited pass attempts by AU per sources but is trusting CDC on that so far
-He is OVing LSU for the TAMU game then UOVing here for the IB
-Auburn will not necessarily go after another WR if we lose DQ and miss on Rudolph. They will go after the best prospect available regardless of position.

You conveniently left out the part about him contacting LSU's staff to see if they had room for him.
If Craig holds on to DW, he might the best recruiter in the history of recruiters. He'd deserve a big fat raise. At this point, I'll be shocked if DW signs with us.

quote:No I didn't. I intentionally left it out. LSU 247 has conflicting info that has already been posted in this thread and in this case I am taking their info over Hoke's. In case anyone missed it According to LSU 247 LSU contacted DQ and he is now a definite take for LSU because they expect Beckham and Landry to go pro.

if LSU has a spot for DQ, it wouldn't matter if we were throwing for 400 yards instead of running for 400... the dude wants to be at LSU.
now it doesn't hurt, but we aren't going to change who we are to apease one WR recruit who's only going to be here for one season. If everyone is healthy, we will have an explosive enough offense to win the SEC next year, with or without Williams.

Auburn may get Kwon McMillian's 5th OV for the Iron Bowl per Rivals LINK

For those with the 1% chance hope LB McMillan was interested in Auburn..

20. Is there a coach or school you aren’t considering that really impressed you during the process?
You know, Auburn. Coach [Gus] Malzahn and Coach Ellis Johnson, Auburn has a great staff. I visited them one time with some of my teammates, but it wasn’t the school for me. They are an awesome staff. When my teammates went with me for the visit, they showed my teammates as much love as me, and I liked that.

Same Kwon you speak of? Sounds like hes getting a free ticket to a great game.

The iron bowl visitor list will be unreal. I can only imagine the affect it could have on our recruiting if we pulled it off

Glad we aren't going after Darrell Williams

Just wasn't excited about him as a RB thought he could have played the Eric Smith role but didn't want to waste a scholarship on that

I think they'll try to turn Pettway into that. He's already, what, 225 in high school? He'll be 250 after a year or two in the weight room. I really like turning a true RB into the HB so he has some real versatility and can do some damage when he gets the ball.

Plenty of the recruits coming to the last two games are there for the tickets.

I think Gus is so committed to winning the next two games he doesn't even care. Next two games should be huge atmosphere wise add wins on top of that and I see us locking up a couple of guys on the spot
