Josh Casher and his younger brother, who's an OL in the class of 2016, are visiting this weekend.

I take it he's finally not feeling weird about the whole decommittment thing?

Casher is a must have.. Sims is a pass IMO.

I think he sticks.. AU is swagalicious right now, they'll keep him on board.

Apparently Williams and Moncrief were really excited about the coaches being at their game yesterday. 247 says they expect him to stick now too.

I felt like having the A team show up at their game would have a positive effect.
Williams is in for a hell of an experience at this year's Iron Bowl.

Awesome, Rivals says we'd have an above average shot of signing Casher,Evans, Dion Hamilton, and Roberts if signing day were today. Might be a little bit homerish idk but

Yeah, this is what I was going to hit on.

Yes, winning this year is important in the short-term because obviously that's why you play the game, but the reported progress we're making on the recruiting trail by simply showing these kids that we have turned this thing around is maybe the most important aspect of this season in the long-term.

All we needed to do was win and go to a bowl game, and it looks like we're going to do a lot more than that. I think Casher's basically back in the bag, and I really think we have a more than average shot to flip Roberts and get Evans. And if we somehow we're able to turn SDH, well, that would just be extra icing on an already sweet cake.

I want to see how we progress the rest of this season and into the long haul before I really buy into Gus, but he's done everything I could've hoped halfway through his first season. We've got a ton of momentum right now in all phases.

WHere is Sandman and his AU High connections. He was adamant that Evans wanted to leave Alabama

So we are legitimately recruiting SDH again?

I think Evans wanted an excuse to be distant because of what happened last year and waiting to see what would happen this year. I think he's very seriously considering going out of state, but the fact that we seem to actually be getting to the point of being an SEC contender again, really has him thinking hard about staying home. All his interviews I've read, he seems to be pretty straight up about where he stands and he seems really impressed with what has happened so far this year.

It seems like we've edged back ahead of UGA. We're now able to, successfully, play the angle that he can play early AND be developed BEST at Auburn instead of elsewhere and that its the best CAREER move for him......and not look like idiots pitching it.

As of 2 months ago, 3 guys I know that played at Auburn High basically laughed at the idea of Evans staying in Auburn for college, said he was pretty vocal about that. I'm sure things are different now that we are winning but I got the impression that it was because he doesn't like living there, not because we sucked.

They also confirmed that Reuben Foster is dumb as rocks.

I can understand wanting to get away from your hometown, but the city of Auburn is a completely different world than Auburn University... it's not like he'll still be walking the halls of AHS, living in his parent's house, and playing games and Duck Samford Stadium...

I moved 30 minutes from the house I grew up in when I came to AU... and I might as well have moved six hours away (granted everyone's situation is different).
