Yes, I understood this.

Which is why the very, very young age of 30 made me very, very sad.

Getting a big time commit like Roc but also losing a high potential guy like Parks does seem to fit a Brannigan birthday...Happy Birthday Brannigan!

Luginbill's analysis of Roc committing.
quote:

What he brings: He’s a physical back who really presses the hole and runs North/South. He's part scatback, part power back who has the ability to fit through tight creases, push the pile and churn out yardage, but also can cut and be very decisive in terms of instincts. He has a bit of a galloping style with high knee action on a straight line.

How he fits: There might not be a bigger need for any roster at one position than there is at running back for Auburn. Thomas will play right away, in our opinion. He’s more talented than what Auburn has right now, and Gus Malzahn always wants a scatback-type and a more versatile performer who can carry the load, and Thomas is the ideal fit. He’ll bring a ton of production as a between-the-tackles runner in this scheme.

Reminds us of: Isaiah Crowell, physically of course. Let’s hope Thomas fares better in the decision-making department.

How class is shaping up: Small numbers, but high quality for Auburn thus far. Despite the loss of center Josh Casher (Mobile, Ala./St. Paul's) this week, RB Racean Thomas more than makes up for it. Tight end-H Jakell Mitchell (Opelika, Ala./Opelika) is a huge sleeper and great fit for the offense. Athlete Stanton Truitt (Monroe, Ga./Monroe Area) is the next Onterio McCalebb, only bigger. Pocket passer Sean White (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./University School) is a nice get from a sheer numbers standpoint, because Auburn needs depth at quarterback.

Per 247 even though Andrew Williams has not named a top set of schools Auburn, Ole Miss, and Clemson are considered the main contenders.

2015 4 star RB Eric Swinney is visiting today. He's one of our top targets next year

Is he more of a scat back? Or is he expected him to bulk over the next couple years?
