Damn, with him on one side and D'haquille Williams on the other it could be a violent offensive attack. I like it.

Gus believes in wins. Like all football coaches. If this guy or that guy can help him get those wins, come aboard. Pretty simple. I don't run our program but if I did I'd pass on this guy like I'd kick Jeremy Hill off the team.

But then again ... If I were being paid what these coaches are being paid ... I'm sure I could tweak my ethics to maximize the situation.

Is that it? Sign him up. Who gets arrested for something like that?

Way to think it through.

I don't know what UT's wr depth looks like, but he was a five-star player who had two catches as a freshman on a team with a pretty good offense... combine that with the baggage, and it doesn't make much sense to bring him in.

I also seem to remember him throwing off on auburn via twitter while he was being recruited... doesn't seem like the most mature guy around. That's not to say he can't/won't grow up... just not a risk worth taking (unlike a proven commodity like D. Williams for instance).

Our WR talent is so awesome we're passing on 6'3 5*s because he punched his gf's new lover? Give me a break...

Daquille isn't a sure thing until he signs..

By the time he would run a meaningful route...probably.

My simple summary of the AUR article on Lambert. It's basically down to Auburn and Florida IMO. He will likely decide between Florida being his dream school growing up and his deep love and admiration for Rodney Garner as a coach and father figure. His mom and Aunt also loved the Auburn trip as well.

I'd have to know the circumstances behind how that all went down. I highly doubt he just walked up to the guy and punched him. Either way though, it was the exact opposite of what he should have done. He might do well with anger management classes - I know a few people it has helped out.

Let's be honest here, ex gfs are emotional territory, and while not inexcusable, I don't believe it to be the deciding factor in measuring character. If he has AU in his interests, I'd guess some interest has been expressed towards him on our end. I'm open to the transfer.

I'm not usually not one to want to give a guy a second chance but what he got arrested for is something a lot of people have done. He got over emotional once that we know of. If he has a history of this then it's a different story. But If this is his only offense, I wouldn't even consider this baggage. Take him in a heartbeat.

Look, I hate our TPOS players, they gave us a 3-9 season, but I think it is more that they are doing TPOS wrong. Our TPOS smoke spice and are little babies, we need to be more like the old U. We need to be straight up gangstas and beat people up.

Cayleb Jones clearly has a track record of beating people up and being successful at it.

I support this transfer

well, with his 2 catches for 35 yards, seemsl like he'd fit right in with our TPOS 3-9 players...

I hate when people say it, but this is one where you just got to trust the coach. He will meet with him and make a decision on his character.

If AU is really interested.

Do you even know how much playing time he got? He was a freshman I believe so probably not much.

right... it's all premature speculation probably.

as for how much PT he got.. the articl said he played in 11 games, so take that for what it's worth.

Jaylon Denson has played in 25 games and has one catch. Just because you play doesn't mean you're a target on passing downs, especially as a freshman. I bet he did alot of ST.

As for taking him or not, I personally don't really care.

and if Jaylen Denson was at another bcs school and wanted to tranfer to AU, I'm betting we'd say thanks but no thanks...

i feel similar... doesn't matter either way.

you're exactly right

he should have punched that cheating slut of an ex-girlfriend in the face

without any other history of violence put me in the 'sign him up' crew. one isolated incident does not make up a person's entire character
