I replied to his comments not any report and there are not any reports on half the recruits that decommit until they do.

Been there done that. Too much sunshine pumping and you can't get any real recruiting info.

Not quite sure how any of these comments are appropriate responses to me claiming you are being in idiot regarding both Saban/Bama paying players and you comparing two completely different positions when comparing AU/UA

First off I'm not getting into all this because you want to call people names. I could care less. If you don't like my posts pass it over. His comments didn't say anything about what position Bama was recruiting him for. Plus Garner and EJ probably has more DL playing in the NFL than Saban does LBs.

With regards to Bama paying recruits. It may have happened at the beginning as I've personally dealt with some REC members and some of them will win at ANY cost.

After Sabans first National Championship, his recruiting started to become almost bullet proof. Then his second one hit and theres no need for any paying o any players ever again unless Bama starts losing in their cupcake OOC games.

Yeah. The conspiracy theories is one of the most annoying things I have to deal with over there.

I only said that because he said one was gonna make him richer. Its comments like that that started all the Cam crap with money being too much.

Back to the topic. Thorton is still tweeting but it doesn't make much sense.

Every team pays recruits at least a little, even Bama with their on-field success. They payed Geno Smith 12k, straight from his mouth.

Not saying they don't amm, just I believe Saban has a lot more juice with his record, championships, and guys going to the NFL. Does it mean it doesn't happen at all. Mens suits, signing autographs, house sitting, Japanese steak houses.

Yeah it's definitely exaggerated. I think the only time it really happens is in the really heated battles. In Bama's case, they don't have that many heated battles, they usually can get who they want without having to do anything under the table.

Are you saying each one individually or combined because combined, that is unfair to take two coaches and combine players from two separate teams and compare them to the production of one team. Just like I wouldn't compare home run production in College Baseball today to when there were metal bats a few years back, just an unfair and biased argument

Doesn't take a genius to understand teh differences between a 3-4 and a 4-3 and what type of players fit both. Just like Corey Lemonier is no longer a DE in the NFL

It is always best to provide some real info to get a thread back in order.

For instance:

Okay not much going so I have nothing...

I have a friend who is not a star player at Arizona State and he gets a monthly stipend considerably in excess of allowed limits

My friend was a camp war eagle counselor a couple years back and an unnamed player asked about what to do with his "tiger card" that someone tied with the athletic department gave him. Someone straight up gave him a credit card.

If you accuse Bama of cheating, might as well accuse us of doing it. Players aren't really bought and paid for but illegal things happen by just about everyone.

Roommate's little brother is starting to be recruited by Ole Miss and Miss St (2015 recruit). According to him and his best friend who just signed with Ole Miss, Ole Miss would pay in the 1-2k range for each visit you would make to get people there and then bonuses for visiting after you committed to help recruit others

If E's numbers are right the 13 by Garner is at least as many if not more alone. EJ would just increase the chances.

Coaches have players lose weight and add weight and put them where they want. It all depends on what they need or want at the time.

That's.... That's not even remotely how that works.

3-4 DEs are going to function like 4-3 tackles. 3-4 JLBrs are going to function like 4-3 DEs. It's not matter of "putting on weight", it's a matter of where you put the different weight classes - and much more importantly, talent - in a scheme.

ETA: I wouldn't just look at a 3-4 nose tackle like Mt. Cody and say, "Hey, we need a DE right now, how about dropping 100 pounds?"

I don't mean anyone anywhere. But players with all around talent could play multiple positions with weight changes.
