Don't know if he has a commitable offer but DT Arthur Williams has named us his leader per Caldwell.
Has to do work in the class room to get an offer per BM. I really wish Coaches and Guidance counselors would start working with High School football players on adademics in their 9th grade year. NCAA requires 4 full years on most of the core subjects for football player. Fail 1 or 2 core classes in a year and a prospect has put themselves in a tough hole.

Post-Zimmerman verdict, Twitter was not a place for the faint of heart.

(P.S. This was not a commentary on the Zimmerman verdict nor is it intended to broach the subject of the Zimmerman verdict. That is not a discussion for this forum. It was a commentary on Twitter. Thanks! )

I expected Gus to offer White by now. He's usually not one to do things slowly.

Hopefully he's just waiting to after the 18th. If we haven't offered by the 19th or 20th i'll get worried

I kinda want the offer to come soon because of the possibility of Notre Dame jumping into the race...although I think we would still be the favorite

No reason to wait that long. The Harris ship has sailed. White should have had an offer by now if the coaches are serious about wanting him.

They don't, but that doesn't mean there shouldn't be the guidance for all. Obviously the answer really is the parent should take that role, but when there is a breakdown of that role in the students life, our school system should provide that extra guiding hand.

Never said nor implied they do. Reality is at my school they were given little academic attention in that regard as compared to the general students. Another reality is general students can fart around for 3 years then kill it their senior years to get into a descent school. Given the NCAA core requirements for student athletes now pulling a GPA up in a senior year is not enough like it is for general students. They need to be taking the right classes which requires guidance and making at least C's in all NCAA cores requirements from 9th grade on to be fairly safe their senior season.

In our eyes the ship has sailed but never count out les miles and his ability to do something stupid. The ccoaches could be making a last minute push before throwing in the towel.

I just feel that if the coaches want White, they need to stop slow playing it. White probably knows that he's Our back-up plan, but they're no reason to make him feel that way. Harris said the decision would be made today and the coaches would be informed. Last I heard, Harris is at LSU's camp now. If we wait until Harris' public announcement to give White an offer, what does that tell White? I rather the staff be proactive instead of reactive.

I'm hoping they put it to White like this: hey, we've been recruiting BH much longer and he has had a long-standing offer... we've given him until <this date> to make up his mind out of courtesy... if he hasn't given us a decision by then, the offer is yours.

I think he would understand that (1) he hadn't got any big-school offer prior to Elite 11 and (2) the first big-school to offer him would have to clear any prior offers before making him one. That's just being honest.

I would assume Gus or someone told him this, but you never know.

We just aren't in any position to slow play talented players on need. Worries me

I don't think JJ is the answer for us at QB, so I agree. We need to jump on White.

We actually are given SW does not have an offer from any team he wants yet.

Also it's not definite the Harris family let's the coaches know today. What was said is his grandmother could let the staffs know as early as today.

On the AUF board E set up a poll asking which one of B. Harris/S. White we preferred. I and a majority of respondents chose S. White. However I don't still don't care to be treated like I'm a dumbarse. I look at Harris the way Gus felt in regards to Shaun Dion Hamilton when he said "He's good but he's not the kind of player you BEG to come play for you".
