So your point is an offense will only be a good as it's QB?

That's ground-breaking stuff

"They said they were really, really impressed with me," said White. "They're going to talk about it over the next few days and it's very likely I could get an offer. They hoped I liked it out here and it was a great visit."

Well, sounds like Brandon did not give the silent. And they're still going to wait him out, and then offer SW.

Coaches have been tweeting this, too. Are these people just too happy or is there something going on?

He could have. Coaches tell prospects that they're going to talk about offering them and will get back to them all the time, whether they plan on offering or not. Also, it's worth noting that in the 247 Insider Notes, they said we could give White an offer even if we feel good about Harris

IMO, I think we got very good vibes from Harris, but he's given every team good vibes so we're going to wait and see what he decides and offer White the moment Harris indicates going elsewhere.

I was just referring back to what he said, that if he were so moved to do so on a visit he'd silent that school.

No. My point was simply that Cam was a better than good, he was legendary. You inferred too much into my post

White said he wants to make his decision as soon as possible, so it sounds like we'll know who our QB is by the end of next week either way. He said he's going to visit a couple schools up north next week, but it didnt sound 100% on any other than Cincinnati.

Cam was legendary before he arrived to Auburn? Now I get why the 180K was needed.

White still does not have an offer yet that he wants. He will wait til he gets a bigger than mediocre school offer. I am still worried about ND if they decide they want 2 QBs and offer him even if he commits to Auburn.

My view on things:

As of now, I think Sean White is the safer option at quarterback in this class when compared to Brandon Harris. As others mentioned, one has struggled with accuracy in high-school, and one has pretty much mastered it. Sean White blew up at The Opening, and will be getting even more exposure after transferring to a bigger school. I just don't want another Kiehl Frazier or Kodi Burns, when I could have a Kellen Moore. And Gus Malzahn hasn't exactly been solid with his dual threat quarterbacks at Auburn. Tyrik Rollison, Kiehl Frazier, and Zeke Pike. 0-3, batting 0.000 (not counting Cam Newton).

I'd like an accurate, stand-in-the-pocket guy. As stated previously, we've missed big time on our dual threat guys.

Yeah, but will we get a Clint Mosely, Neil Caudle, or Zeke Pike? Point being there are busts no matter if they were a DT or a Pro style QB.

The thing alot of you guys are doing is comparing the best case scenario for White, and the worst-case for Harris. The difference bewteen the two is their floors and ceilings.

White's ceiling is probably Kellen Moore or Aaron Murray, which all of us would be pleased with. His floor would probably be Brandon Cox, who was decent but definitely didn't excite any of us. With Harris, while yes his floor is Burns or Frazier, but his ceiling is RGIII. I'm sure out of all the QBs I just named, RGIII would definitely be the preference.

Either way, we'll get a good prospect. It'll be Gus' job to turn develop whichever one we get

If we take a QB every year and get a reasonably good QB one out of every 3, with potential to have some great ones thrown in, we are solid as long as we take at least one QB a year.

I believe we can take big risks as long as talent is there and we consisstently pull them in. Eventually someone will work out

I think we are discounting White's potential as well. He may not be a dual threat but he's as mobile as Barrett Trotter, if not more so.

I, like others here, are just tired of taking so many athletes at QB in a league that's historically tough against innacurate passers.

I've stopped following recruits until they commit to AU. Til then, they're just trolling fanbases for followers

And to expand on whoever's comment about taking a QB each year and one eventually working out - if we take White our last 3 QBs taken in 2015 would be J Johnson, S White, and T Queen. That's a GREAT three year run of talented Pro and dual threat QBs.
