I remember a poster questioning the football team, saying we were in for a bad year, before the 2012 season. KF's dad and a couple of the AE mods bashed him in a very condescending manner, saying he has no idea what he was talking about, Robin has an inside view of how the program is being run, and how we average fans didn't know shite. Left a bad taste in my mouth regarding AUQBDad or whatever his name is.

Meh.

I still catch myself dating things "2012," and that'll usually last until August or September.

Before this season I remember Brannigan anf me took a shite ton of heat on here for saying Frazier was going to suck and we should play Wallace. I can only imagine how much worse AUC would be

LSU has sent Flynn and Russell to the pros, Russell got paid a lot and Flynn's had a decently long run already. Jarrett Lee made a roster (briefly) and Jordan Jefferson is in the CFL.

We've only had Cam since 2005. Again, doesn't look good for us.

Do you know how many schools that DO NOT have what AU does? 2 QBs in the NFL...2. So AU and LSU did the same thing, but AU did it better.

Cam > Jamarcus Russell
Jason Campbell > Matt Flynn

So your argument is dodgy at best.

Campbell to Flynn is a tough comparison. Flynn has a ring and a chance at being a starter, Campbell has draft position and early money. IDK.

Giving anyone on the staff now credit for Campbell seems kinda iffy though. That was a long time ago.

Overall, I just have a hard time saying that either school has a marked advantage recruiting QBs compared to the other. Both have a recent track record of crashing and burning (Frazier, Burns, Caudle, Rollison $ Lee, Jefferson, Shepard) a lot with QBs. We have THE offensive quru, they have an OC with a lot of NFL experience. An argument can be made either way as to which has more to offer QBs.

Not any different from giving Miles and Cameron credit for Russell.

No, Aaron Rodgers has a ring. Jason has been a starter and has a winning record and lead a team to the playoffs. And He'll probably be Cleveland's starter by seasons end.

Flynn got traded for to be the man and got beat out by a 5'10" rookie left fielder...

Gus has set records everywhere he's been and Cam Cameron has sucked arse everywhere he's been. NFL experience or not, doesn't compare...

Not really. Campbell can win in the nfl if put in the right position. He had never really gotten the help he needs to win ( good oline, strong running game) the man took the Raiders to .500, that alone says something. Plus i bet Campbell is the starter in Cleveland next year. It won't be that old man from okie state again.

Flynn had nothing to do with winning that ring. And he got beat out by a rookie when he was signed to be the starter in Seattle. The Raiders have not improved their oline, so flynn will be crushed next season.

I don't know about Davis being a good speaker. Maybe he has got better over the past year, but he seems timid in front of the camera to me.

BTDubs y'all, I'll be leaving the country for a week the morning of the 18th, so should we pick up Brandon Harris I won't be able update the OP until I get back.

ETA: So I made a bit of an amendment that should suffice

A long time ago, like Russell and Flynn?

The difference between Cameron at OC and Gus being somewhat neutral I'll give you, but we have a QB in Cam that has been a huge success in the pros, and is what every QB in college would love to be as a #1 pick, starting QB, and endorsements out the yin yang. LSU hasn't had a QB even sniff that kind of success, and it makes a huge difference. Both LSU and Auburn have been equally inept at QB the past two seasons, but it was only 3 seasons ago when Cam was blowing up, and these recruits were just getting towards high school and remember it well.
