A good coach adjusts to the type of team he has around him. Plenty of successful Gus Os have not had the fleetest of foot QBs. Also, having an ultra talented passer will open up other options that we havent had before. Chris Todd was a decent passing QB, imagine having a stud. If he cant tailor the offense to a QB who doesnt run like Cam, I think we have bigger problems at our OC/HC level.

Gus's QBs at Tulsa didn't run very much.

They threw the ball.

In 2007, the Tulsa QB threw for 5065 yds (60.1 comp %), 47 TDs, 19 ints, and rushed for 105 yds and 13 TDs.

In 2008, the Tulsa QB threw for 4059 yds (64.5 comp %), 46 TDs, 18 ints and rushed for 92 yds and 3 TDs.

For some reason, I have a hard time believing that Lawson is that flaky.

And Adams loved him some Garner.

So, if its an Auburn player (and I'm not saying it is)... Barber?

Maybe Saban is already processing players for the next class. Him and the player mutually agreed it was the best thing. Kamara maybe. Realized Saban isn't letting him play RB like he promised.

Doubt it's an Auburn player. None of the guys we got were flaky, prima donna types.

Nkimdeche, Lawson, Adams, Vonn Bell, Tray Matthews, Alvin Kamara, Demarcus Robinson, Tyren Jones, Trey Johnson, Kelcey Griffin

That's rivals top 10 GA players from last year. I don't know what list he's going by in terms of top players, but I couldn't find a state by state list on 247.

My guess would be Robinson. He switched his commitment at least once.

Agreed. If its true and if it is, I'd be REALLY surprised.

Barber?

Wouldn't think so. Barber wasn't really considered one of the top players. He was ranked like 40 on the list I saw.

I'm guesing maybe a Trey Johnson,Demarcus Robinson, or Tyshon Dye.

Someone tweeted asking if Robinson was transferring to Clemson.

Did he even end up qualifying at Clemson?

It is crazy to think about an incoming recruit already quitting on said team he signed with. I wonder if this is another Eddie Vanderdoes situation, or if the recruit specifically quit football altogether?

A new tactic to really nail it to a rival school. Get a recruit to flip after they have already signed.

Damnit Rabern57, next thing we will hear is that JJ plans to flip prior to 2015 Fall practice.

Elite 11 coaches have Shaun White at #3. Above Deshaun Watson and Jacob Park.

Gus's QBs at Tulsa didn't run very much.

That was what I was referring to. Can't access the board from my work computer so didn't have stats handy to back up my claim. I just remember at both Arkansas and Tulsa, Gus had success sans mobile QBs

JaKell Mitchell, our tight end commit from Opelika, tore his ACL in a 7-on-7 competition. The coaches are still going to take him and he will definitely be apart of this class. He is expected to meet with Dr. James Andrews soon to seen the severity and schedule surgery on it. He will be out for the season now.

I expect an Adrian Peterson type recovery worst case. Best case, they try out the spider silk ligament repair that will make him 1000x better

Sucks for Jakell but if he can make a recovery this should keep him off other teams radars. Dudes a freak athlete and perfect for Gus's system
