Tired of this shite (not you, the criticism). Drew Brees is debatably 6 foot. If he throws over the lineman well enough in all-star game practices and against Florida HS DL (Booker T Wash / Manatee), he'll be fine. BLUF: If he couldnt, Gus/Lashlee wouldn't recruit him. Also, T. Dilfer heaps praise frequently but he analytically said S Whites mechanics, touch and decision making were lights-out good for HS level.

That is what he measured in at the UAAAG. As I read it somewhere, not a message board....

quote:The sticking to their guns stuff is a load of crap. Even though I don't agree with them I can accept that point of view before the all star week and practice because Sean had not been in Live 11 v 11 game and practice with the best of the best in High School until a couple of weeks ago. Well he has been now and the kid owned it. After situations like that is when a service should be most apt to making a real change instead of this sticking to their guns Bull.
no doubt... and white will always have physical limitations compared to the other top flight QBs in college.
if he were two inches taller, this wouldn't be a discussion... his stats his senior year of HS are similar to those of Allen who's committed to A&M... the difference is he's 6-4.
I just don't get why people are so upset over a top 30 QB.
Also stop with this everything is ok that he is a top 30 QB. To this point, no it's not and no he's not. He has proved himself time and time again to be one of the best in this class. If you think in real life college football there is not a difference from a top 5 QB and a #30 ranked QB then you need to think again my friend. Elite QB play versus average to above average QB is one of the biggest differences in a number of teams. It's a slap in the face Scout has Sean #26 overall given all he has done and 2 other sites have made him #4 & #8 overall and 1 more on the way that will have him in the top 10 at worst...So please stop slobbing on Scout as they are not worth the crap that comes out your butt everyday much less your mouth. :rantover:

dear god you sure are upset over this... god forbid someone not think white is a top 20 QB...
can we all not have a discussion without slobbing on knobs references... i'm not a scout member and don't care for their rankings.

The end of the Dead Period sure did wonders this year (with potential freak outs).

White is definitely taller than Boyd. They're basically standing at the same depth and White is a little hunched over as well. He may not be 6'2", but he's a good inch or two taller than Boyd.

Pretty sure he measured in at 6'2 for the all-star game/practice

here's the pic... white is standing taller than boyd, but boyd is more slouched... they're probably the same, or very close in height. Boyd's listed as 6-1 by clemson, which may or may not be accurate.
regardless, an inch or two shouldn't matter (eta: when it comes to QB, not necessary everything in life)

Because that inch will decide his future dammit.

it doesn't make a damn bit of difference, but even with Boyd slouching, no shot he's the same height. At LEAST 1-2 inches shorter than White.
