Just being honest, he didn't look great in the UA game. I'm fine with him at a 4*, not that it matters.
agreed, but it wasn't HIM that looked bad. His blocking was piss poor and he was having to try and make guys miss 2 yards into the backfield. No one could've run well there. Was disappointing.

i don't get all the hoopla over reranking players... it's not like they get magically better or worse b/c some less-than-subjective internet reporter ranks them differently than he did 3 months ago.

LF looked better behind the same line. Again, it doesn't matter. In the same breath, Sean White looks amazing regardless the talent he play's against. He should be the #1 QB in this class. Glad to have him. But I could see Roc RS next year so he can put on some lbs, and get used to the game.

Final rankings are generally the only ones I care about these days

He just looked overwhelmed by the talent on D. That's something he'll get used to, though. I still don't think he's a 5* recruit.

Why would you care about anything else? That'd be like saying you care more about the BCS in November vs after the NC game. I've never understood all the bragging that goes on throughout the year on recruiting rankings, only to have teams rise and fall throughout the year.

The carries I saw him get..he was getting hit before he even got to the line of scrimmage. So Im not going to base anything on the game. I would of liked to see them give him some more carries though.

Go watch the Auburn vs Oxford game from this year's high school playoffs. It will put you at ease about who we got. Best running back to come out of this state since Cadillac Williams.

Auburn didn't play Oxford this year fwiw
Although they're apparently 6A now which is a recent development

Probably means Oxford Spain Park when he went for some 400 yards

easy to get overwhelmed when defenders are setting up shop 2 yds deep in your backfield, as a running back.

He definitely didn't get much help from the line from what I saw as well. That said, Fournette had one or two of those and bounced out and made some gains. Still think Roc is one of the top few RB's in the country, regardless if he's ranked as a 4 or 5*.

I just went back and watched as much film on White as I can find, and he plays like he's been coached in the NFL for years. His touch and mechanics are simply unreal for a high school. Not to mention he has great pocket awareness. I don't know if he is extremely athletic or not but with the way he plays the game between the ears, he doesn't need to be a freak to be uber successful.

He's had a private QB coach for years now (Ken Mastrole). You can tell that he's had advanced coaching. Here he is from like a day ago with Tajh Boyd who I'd assume is getting his pre-draft work in:

Ive been high on White for a while. His accuracy throwing the ball is what wowed me but his intangibles have been on display throughout the all star games and practices. Should be an interesting battle between Johnson and White in 2015
