Lawson, can bench over 400 pounds and squats over 500 pounds.

Can't stress how much we need this kid. That's ridiculous. He's gonna make Lemonier look slow, and that's no knock on CL whatsoever.

AA7, do you know what position this kid is being recruited for?

I'm not sure specifically, but I will find out. I know the previous staff was looking at him as a S. His only real knock at S is that he drops his head and goes for the knockout shot.

What is his primary position at Sylacauga High School?

He played both ways for pretty much 4 quarters.

It is hard to believe he is just now getting offered by the bigger schools like Auburn and Clemson.

I was hoping Auburn would give him the other. He waited a long time before committing to UAB just because he was waiting on this offer. I think he had come to grips with Auburn not offering and was fully committed to UAB, that's probably what the #gettingHARD was referencing

With Flowers & Toney, that makes 8 scholarship LBs for 2 spots. Add in Foster and/or Walton you're talking about potentially 10 scholarships for 2 on the field spots with Holland being the only SR and Garrett the only JR.

If Holland is a starter next year . . .

But what you guys are saying makes sense I'm just thinking we pull a Saban and offer the lowest rated prospect a Gray-shirt or "process" some guys currently on team. That way we can choose the best of bunch and stash the others away

Also, from AU Rivals(thanks Volnation!) regarding Walton's visit this weekend. Walton wants to know what position will he play on the Plains, linebacker or H-back? Malzahn has already had his in-home and Spurrier is expected next week. Considered a South Carolina-Auburn battle with a decision likely early next week.

2k followers for a Michigan recruiting guy. Sounds like their version of eagledamnwar or Michigan just doesn't follow recruiting like we do in the south which is also likely.

I'm not overly concerned about how many spots there are, we really should bring in a freshman to learn the star position from the coaches expecting him to run it. King is our star for two years but I would love to see us get a kid in there to learn it before having to be thrown out there unprepared.

I think one of our biggest problems now is the same problem that we had when Chizik took over, poor roster management. We have a good bit of underachieving kids at positions of need and they are all young. In Malzahn's second year, he will also lose in the 30 player range like Chizik did and eventually lose the entire offensive line at the same time. Patching the team with JUCO is fine at a few spots but I hate to see him dumping a lot into JUCO while passing up on younger guys who can come in and learn the system ground up at the beginning.

Yep. We desperately need some continuity and long range planning in our recruiting. It all seems to have been chaotic for the last 10 years or so.

All of our recruits are going to flip to Tennessee, not surprising.

If he is going to shock the world then that means he is going anywhere but Michigan.
