"Since that article came out about my brother saying he's not going to go to any school unless I come along, there are some schools that are trying to recruit me now," Mackenro Alexander told Tiger Illustrated. "They act like I'm their guy now. But where were they when I was struggling? And now you want me? That gets me mad. So you want my brother so bad that you'll take me just to get him? That's not going to happen anyways. At the end of the day, it's a business. Wherever I go, I'm going to make them love me. I'm going to make so many plays and I'll be deadly out there."

Alexander said his grades were in good shape, and he was ready to prove he could play in college. "I'm going to make damn sure no one breaks my tackles," he said. "I'm ready to tell people to shut the heck up and show them this is how I play. I feel angry and overlooked."

Well, the best thing about this is we have a new staff, so that gives us an excuse for our sudden interest in him

I thinks it's ok if we miss out on the RB position this year. Next year will be key.

I dont know we didnt take a RB last year technically and this year only have one so far..I'd say they need at least one more.

Agree, We really only have three RB's now (Mason,
Blakely,Grant). Blakely could go postal any day and Grant hasn't shown anything. So, one back we can actually count on.

We do have Payne coming in who looks to be the real deal, but we need at least one more at the very least. I would like to have two.

Yep, especially considering how the injury bug can hit RBs hard. We've been lucky recently, but it's just a matter time. We need depth and range at RB to run Gus' offense to its potential.

I wasn't saying we shouldn't take a couple in this class, just saying it won't be horrible if we miss on our top tier RB targets.

Ya I think it won't be a huge loss if miss on our RB target but I bet we sang one at least. Next year though when this staff has a whole year to recruit I am hopeful they will pull in a stud to take over when all these juniors graduate

@Cassidy_Rob
Expect a decision from Hutch CC linebacker Kenny Flowers this weekend. He says he'll choose between Auburn, K-State and Texas Tech.

Well we're his leader right? Not much of an announcement.

This, combined with Malzahn's history of getting backs big yards, should make flipping someone very doable. Tons of opportunity at Auburn at RB and LB with our lack of depth at those two positions.
