I don't see anyone saying how terrible it will be. Just that they are not feeling good about it. Stop dramatizing.

Our class seems like it will be pretty mediocre. I'm not sure why anyone would expect otherwise.

Ive been told differently..

If a top 5 recruiting class is your standard for a newly hired coach who hasn't been able to recruit for a year then your standards are too high. A top 10-15 class would be acceptable which I expect us to get.

Sounds like the tiger prowl rule has been done away with. A lot of new rules being accepted that simplify the rule book.

The biggest thing is that we fill our needs. If we could have gotten Hardison to come in for the interior that would have gone a long way.

I think we still need 1 or 2 more running backs, at least 1 more defensive tackle, lock down Bower and Lawson, and pick up at least 1 good linebacker and possibly a role player linebacker. Outside of that, I think everything else we add will be in addition to the core class and I genuinely hope we don't fill the class up with career backups just for numbers.

Next year will be here before you know it and it will be a better year for recruiting and the football program in general.

And yes, I tend to look on the brightside of things since I have to plan for the dumbest people in every thing else I do (I'm a contractor).

It should be good considering its with a new staff. They will fill it up with 3 and 4 stars. Hopefully we can hold on to what we have minus Wilkins. If we get Foster then we may finish top 10, but right now I think he is gone.

It could be and I hope it is. However, I think it is more likely that we lose a couple of big commits rather than landing more big names.

I'm not worried about it, but I don't expect much this go round.

We could end up with a top 5 class if we finish with foster, Lawson, green, Alexander, if liner flips back, and mo Adams. Will we? Very doubtful, a lot of things have to go right for that to happen. To be realistic, I say we finish right at fifteen with no more decommits, a foster recommit, Austin golson, and one surprise commitment. Maybe Mo Adams or Derrick Green.

And since when was all in a Clemson thing too?

So we took it from them? Smh. I'm kinda dissapointed in us now. We'll always have war eagle though or did we steal that one too?

IMO we have to get Lawson and Foster. Or Foster and Adams. Or Lawson and Adams.

We have a relatively solid but pedestrian looking class without 2 of those. We have GOT to start landing some of the impact "can't miss" studs on defense. We have swung and missed there constantly the past few years. Lost Goldman to FSU last year and Drew to UGA year before. Not to mention Cyrus K on the online two years ago and Yeldon last year.

The past 2-3 years we have been right there with a couple of top 10 national recruits about a half dozen times and have missed on all of them (except maybe Cam). We have got to start landing some of the real difference makers. This year, that is Lawson, Foster, and Adams. Not so much Liner or Johnson who are good but not elite.

Add up all our guys, from all 4 of the star-giving sites, for the last 2 years, and we rank 8.5 in country. We've got players. We had a headcase head coach. Deal with it. Move forward. Our new coaches are.

What do yall think of this list? Realistic?

1 ARTIS-PAYNE
2 DANZEY
3 BRADLEY
4 LAWSON
5 JOHNSON
6 BOWER
7 SMITH
8 ROBINSON
9 MARSHALL
10 TONEY
11 MELTON
12 KING
13 HUTCHINSON
14 CARLSON
15 FOSTER
16 GOLSON
17 WILLIAMS
18 CUNNINGHAM
19 HARDING
20 WILSON
21 WALTON
22 SUTTON

This would put us at #10 based on avg. grade in the Composite rankings.

We currently have 2 players on our roster that Rivals has ranked higher than 5.9 from the 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 classes. They are Kris Frost and Trovon Reed.

That is it. 2 players on our current team and only Frost is a "5 star". We do not have any rated higher than 5.8 from the 2009 class.

Bama has 14 and would have 17 except 3 are going pro as juniors this year. I would guess LSU and UGA are also in the double digits as well as UF.

14 elite players vs 2 currently on the respective rosters. We have not been landing and keeping the elite players the past 4 years and it shows.

ETA: I looked at UGA. They have signed 15 (> 5.9) although I am not sure how many they still have on their roster.

2009? Okay, fine, 2009. The bridge class from one staff to the next. 2013 is another bridge class -- and it will be a whole lot better than '09.

If you aren't being sarcastic here, there is no helping you.

If we finish with that class, that will probably be an 7-10 class going by points not avg. star per person.

Ellitor is saying we sign 28, including the 3 EEs, and I'm going with his number because he follows this more than you and I combined. Other than small, that class looks good to me. Coaches want more and more WRs, RBs, and S.
