don't remember who, but someone mentioned that we could have had both Green and Bryant at one time but the season shifted Bryant out from us and losing Luper really hurt us with Green.

Oh well... just get a top flight high school RB next year. The odds of signing green are probably less than slim

I wouldn't say that. If we hire Bisaccia as RB coach, and if Green comes down on an unofficial (which he has said he wants to), we could definitely still have a good shot. He already fell in love with us and was a silent, so I wouldn't say we're out of it by any means

Which is what I was saying all summer.

If we get Green we would be in good shape. I would like to have a big back which we currently don't have. Green definitely fills that role.

I'd like get a guy close to what we had with Omac as well, that would really help Malzahn's offense.

I was told that Tray Matthews and Derrick Greens were silent commits and Monty Adams wasn't official but was about as close as you could have been to one. God why did our staff have to suck donkey dicks for cash

Also, I understand the relationship part but Malzahn's running scheme should be perfect for Derrick Green. Hopefully we hire someone who can recruit decently as a RB coach

Someone needs to hook him up with a phonecall to Ben MF Tate

It seemed to come down to us or USC for the #1 class back before the season. Now it seems like neither one of us is going to pull it out

If Blakely corrects his fumble issues and we land one more back that is ready for carries, we are more than fine. That would leave us Mason, Payne, Grant, Blakely and ???? Five is a good number with all being solid and capable.

As for a change of pace back, I don't see us using one again like we did OMac unless they just stumble into someone that fits that mold. IMO, having Mason, who is very fast, and a power back is much more efficient than Mason/OMac.

I love what OMac did for AU in 2010 but I'd rather not have another guy like him on roster. I want 2009 Malzahn O with a guy like Ben Tate leading the way.

Ya... he isn't coming to AU. We stopped recruiting him. That's why everyone is saying he is "looking around" Unless something's changing/changed

For the OMAC role Corey Grant supposedly has the speed and Tre Mason could fill in that role as well

I was thinking Corey Grant as well. He definitely has the top end speed to handle it, so we shall see.

if we are looking for the quicker type guys, Malzahn can always use TReed or Bray as well for certain packages.

Corn Elder would fit that position nicely.

He'll be gone before NSD to Vandy or Ole Miss. I haven't heard anything good from that kid since Malzahn was hired.. just that they'll continue to look around. I don't think CGM and the offensive staff liked the fact that he's had major knee surgery in high school.

Too big of a risk to sign in a first year class. If he never fully recovers then it's a blown scholarship that could've been taken by someone that is fully healthy and isn't prone to another knee injury.
