Just Like Kemba Walker's

When I watch Canty, I see that Kemba Walker gamebreaker quality. Obviously, Walker > Canty but I just mean that ability on offense to take over the game.
Canty is that "give him the ball" type guy. Outside of maybe Harris, no one on the team has that 'put the team on my back' quality. I thought when KT left, we'd miss that but Canty seemed to step in and not miss a beat

Side note, if we had KT Harrell this year with a PG like Canty to set him up, imagine just how dominate we'd be. Would be scary how many points KT would have just on open 3s when Canty/Dunans drive

Canty is already emerging to me as the emotional leader on the floor as well. Part of what made KT so great was his leadership on the floor as well. Canty brought some fire in the 2nd half & seemed to gain confidence as the game went on. Really excited to watch him play this season.
And man I miss KT. My #2 favorite AU player in recent years behind Vot. Those 2 guys played harder than some of the most talented guys on other teams and AU's bball would have been an even bigger shite show without them

I think their styles would feed each other + the team. Canty is "the guy" and leader while KT is that silent lunch pale carrying veteran who plays with passion.

He is that "perfect" college player type to me. Like Josh Bynes in FB, worked his butt off and willed their way into being great.

RIP Vot. Man was taken too soon.

Between Vot and Tay Waller we had two great 2 guards during Lebo's era.
With DeWayne Reed back there we had what could've been a NCAA Tournament caliber backcourt. But unfortunately no front court existed

Chris Denson is my favorite because I used to pretend I was him shooting free throws when I was playing beer pong and I was super clutch

Vot was a power forward not a guard.

Alright to be fair he should've played the 3 with Waller at the 2 and Reed at the 1. But we didn't have a true forward as Vot played outside in a lot like Gabriel did under Barbee. We didn't have a true 4 or 5 during that period and it made the difference

Everyone knew Chris Denson was going left and they still couldn't stop him

I'd have to disagree. Vot was a true college 4. He didn't have the handles or shooting ability to play three. He was great around the basket though.
Plus didn't we have Tolbert at the 3? I miss dirty dozen.

The team that lost to Baylor in the nit quarters was a pretty damn good basketball team... best team of the last decade, by far (granted, it's not saying a whole lot, but still)

If Chris Denson rounded his game out he could be an all time great. Like Rig pointed out, if you score 20+/game and can only go left it is impressive.
He is the Derek Zoolander of guards ha

I've read and heard some rumblings that a ruling has been made on Purifoy and we are in the process of appealing that ruling.

Any further details? Did the ACT make the ruling or did the NCAA take matters into their hands?
I want to see him on the court!

That team picked up steam toward the end of the season. I remember one of our last SEC games of the season was against LSU at Auburn, and there was a notable crowd tail gating in anticipation of the game. We won going out and earned I believe a 1 or 2 seed in the SEC tourney.

No one will come right out and say what is happening so I'm not sure. They say things like it isn't finalized or they are waiting for Pearl to go public before commenting.
