In my experience, while there many wild band chicks, the color guard girls take wild a whole step further. Majorettes are more attractive but they're hit or miss, many are prudes.

What a gutsy performance tonight. This team has already taken a piece of Pearl's identity. They have the grit to grind out wins against good competition. For the first time in a very long time we have some legit talent on this squad. Hope we have some depth too once Williams and TSD come back

Man, that's one band discussion I'll keep myself out of

Craziest Auburn basketball game I've ever been to. Certainly the craziest at the Arena. I'm not going to be able to talk tomorrow, much less yell at the football game. Everything was nuts. It was amazing. Bruce Pearl is my hero.

War Damn Eagle.

How was crowd noise, excitement and everything? Was it sustained or just pick up at different points?

Watching our fans is like watching 50 cent throw out the opening pitch. I'm sure they want to be good, but they have no idea what they're doing

Best crowd so far in the new arena, loudest ever! Exciting to the bitter end! Like WOW!

It was pretty sustained. Probably the best all the way through the game in the new arena. There were a few games last year that were loud, but I think that one was loudest all the way through the game in the last two years.

Loudest half was the Xavier last year. It may have been half empty but it made my ears ring

It's great to see how each player on the team has a different strength for the most part. We aren't a team full of small shifty shooters, or based around playing the ball inside with big men.

Through the exhibition games and now, Horace is emerging as being the most impactful player. Sure, his scoring needs to be higher, but his presence alone on the court is beginning to be an intimidating factor for the opposing team.

Pearl said post game that New might be out 1-2 weeks. It looks like Bryce in the only player we can expect to return against Colorado.

Yep that's the one I was thinking about. South Carolina and Mizzou games were loud as well.

2pm vs Colorado. Debating taking a half day at work. If I do, you'll hear me bitching loudly about the referees

I only watched the end of the UAB game, but the gist I got was that the refereeing wasn't that bad.

Lang got hit with some cheap ones due to the new rules, but if he cleans that up, nearly all of our players stay out of any foul trouble.

They didn't call a bad game the problem is this dumb freedom of motion rule for offenses. It's resulting in an absurd amount of fouls. I think the UGA vs Chattanooga game had like 72 free throws total. For the first month they are going to call this a ton to try & force teams to adapt. It sucks because basically they are saying as a defender you have to let guys cut freely to the basket or across the baseline. Lang is a very handsy defender so he has to adjust

The new rules basically should be called the "frick yo Defense" Rules

It is properly called but I'll still bitch all game about it.

Oh absolutely. I hate off ball fouls to start with unless it is obvious holding or something like that so now you can't even slightly impede who your guarding? Just dumb

That's the way the game is meant to be played in the first place. It's the NCAA's fault that they let it get this bad

What's annoying is there is only two extremes. It likely needed a little more freedom to move, but the new rules are basically playing 5 on 0

To get the additional scoring, they should have just reduced the shot clock to 24 seconds like the NBA. End of games would be so much more exciting too
