As someone who caught their way all through 6 years and up, yes, yes they do. There is a lot more technique involved than just catching a ball with your glove.

And how would you compare that to catching a football?

If he’s saying that then I know it’s gotta be bullshite because they are no Auburn coaches. Corn has no affliction to AU prior to being hired. Cadillac is the only “Auburn” coach and only hold over. Can’t count coach Z because he just got here as well however was a former player. He better get his shite together to as bad as the backend is playing. At least I think he has the right guys on the field

That was only my transcription screw up.
For the record he said “differences of opinion between former Boise State statfers and other coaches (mostly with SEC ties) on staff. He said “we” have been told for months that many of the disagreements have “often” fallen along those lines.

Hello fellow catcher. However I didn’t play catcher until high school and college. Was a SS before.

But yes the catcher is like the QB in football. Calls the defense. Maybe in play adjustments. Technique on framing and blocking pitches. Reads what base runners are doing during and between pitches. Has to know alignment for ball placement. Just comes natural to anyone that can put a glove on no need for coaching

Depending on your level of sweatiness, you’ll either need a glove for both or just for one.

How cute. I found me a nice little stalker to hold my pocket.

Does that mean you now have only one hand free to hold Nix's.....err...hand?

Gotcha. So it’s either conflict of interest in how things are moving forward, coaching concepts, some shot went down, or buddy ball. We will never know…

Either way it falls to Harsin and that’s why you hired him to make head coaching decisions. So in the grand scheme it doesn’t mean much unless the WRs just go rogue

I'm dissapointed that some crazy is following you on TikTok, and that you have a TickTok. Tell me this isn't true.

Ah, Mrs. Nix has joined the convo. Careful, it's hard to defend more than one guy at a time.

That’s what makes JGT a dumbass. He doesn’t have sources. Just selling clicks. Harsin hired who he wanted, where he wanted. Something happened, he made a change.

This. There aren't any Auburn "insdiers" since Gus left. JGT is just posting clickbait.

I just think that a scholarship player at Auburn should be able to pretty effortlessly catch a decent spiral or even a duck without coaching on that particular point.

You would think, but I haven't seen one to it with much consistency on this roster. There have been some God-awful drops is all 4 games.

Now you know why Harsin went to the tranfer portal. Gus cashed his check and left the cupboard bare. Screw the asshats that gave Gus that huge contract!

According to Pro Football Focus, Kobe Hudson is the only Auburn football wide receiver with a receiving grade above 80.0, and every other wide receiver on the roster grades below 70.0 for the season. This unit has also struggled with drops and generating separation all season and has combined for 9 drops so far this year.

Honestly think Harsin hired Corn as a regional guy and had his former OC on as an analyst as a back up incase Corn didn't work out.

Regardless at least Harsin isn't afraid to make a change. Now we get to see if that change is for the good.

What do you mean?

I was implying Corn may have had connections with AU and in-state AL that got him the job. It may have been pushed on him is another implication. Now he's fired. Seems like Harsin is saying now I'll sink or swim with my own guys.

Bad hire. 4 years at Troy isn’t the resume to come to Auburn and coach WR’s.

Good move by Harsin, but I want to see who he goes after.

Why do you think NFL WRs spend so much time on a JUGGS machine? Hell, they're in the NFL. They know how to catch, right?

I expect Kiseau to be the permanent replacement.
