What’s cool is we will find out this season what organization made the best moves.
Keep in mind....
You must judge the entire draft and FA ...not just one pick.
I still like the move.

I agree time will tell.
My concern is the cost for Davenport. Not only did he cost 2 draft picks, he will also cost contract money. So he'll need to fulfill the 5th round pick this year and the first round pick next year, as well as the millions of dollars the Saints will have to pay him. It's kind of the same deal with OBJ, the Giants want draft picks plus Odell demands a handsome salary. It's a 2-part investment on any team that wants to take OBJ. The Saints just did this with UT-San Antonio player Davenport.
I will say if he does perform, and the saints are sound in all other areas then the saints could actually benefit financially from this by not having to pay he 5th round guy and he 1st round guy next year. But still very risky. Saints definitely made this move thinking about the present.

Let me help you.
Buffalo gave up 2 second round picks to move up 5 spots.
We gave up a 5th round pick this year and #32 next year to move up 13 spots.
You gave up TWO #1s to get a project. What part of coon arse math do you not understand?
Do you still have your original #1 from this year?
Yes or No?

(2 #1’s + 1 #5) - 1 #1 = 1 #1 and 1 #5
Davenport + Cam Jordan = Matty Ice on his arse

Good Lord, the NFC is NOT a finesse conference.Philadelphia,Minnesota, LA,Carolina and even the Saints have very physical DL's.

Thoughts on Maurice Hurst? I know he had the health issue, but before that he was a first round pick.
I wanted him at 26. I really wanted him at 58. I will fap so hard if we get him at 90.
