If you know the tendencies of this front office and how they work, you would know that BJ Hill will be our pick in the second round. We were all over him at the senior bowl, and have had a lot more contact since. He is the guy that this staff wants

Probably have to trade up for him or Philips(beast)

I see us trading up tonight and jumping early into the 2nd. We get a DT and I'll feel better. Everything else is gravy.

1st = WR (Ridley)
2nd = DT
3rd = don't have for Takk, right?
4th = RB?
5th = Oline?
6th = meh
7th = whatever

I believe the birds don't have a 4th rd pick, I agree that BJ Hill is probably who Quinn and company are targeting early tonight.

They have a 4th, but not a 5th.

4th: 126
6th: 200

I am awaiting Gravy's spin on this and since we picked up the best player available, he has no comeback

You talkin to me?
I love what the Saints did. We were aggressive. Went after our position of need and the guy we wanted. And got him.
Pick # 32 in next years draft wasn’t too much to give up.

The Saints traded their first-round pick this year (No. 27), a fifth-rounder (No. 147) and their first-round pick in 2019 to the Green Bay Packers to land Davenport, a former Texas-San Antonio star who figures to bolster New Orleans' pass rush.

Is this Louisiana math?You gave up your #1 this year and there's no way you'll be @ 32 next year amd your windwow is closing quickly with Drew Brees pushing 40.

Congrats on getting arse raped for a "project"

I love what the saints did too. He most likely would've been there despite the Saints trading a pick this year and losing a first round pick next year. He wasn't even the #1 edge rusher in the draft. Sure it filled a need but even Chubb wasn't worth all that the Saints gave up.

IMO, if the Saints are really going for make it or break it, this was a poor pick. He is a super raw DE that will most likely only be in during situational plays. And the Saints used two first round picks for that. If Saints are really at a win at all cost, they should have broke the bank and gone for Chubb. Would have fricked them in the long run, but have been the best player to win a Super Bowl while Brees is still playing.

Let me help you.
Buffalo gave up 2 second round picks to move up 5 spots.
We gave up a 5th round pick this year and #32 next year to move up 13 spots.

This sets us up for a SUPERBOWL run for the next three years.
We aren’t effing around. We are in win it all now mode.

Matty Ice will find out what kind of a project Davenport is.

And they got a QB. One who will produce and score points. That ain't happening with a DL. Not to mention the inferior opposition he played against while at UTSA

The two most valued positions in the NFL:
1) QB
2) Pass Rusher

WR’s are a dime a dozen. Drew Brees makes average guys look great.

Matty Ice gonna be scared with our pass rushers on both sides of the line.

There was no one at #27 that was a difference maker for us.

Nevermind...firefox on a desktop and tigerdroppings don't like each other. I didn't see the pic of the 18 jersey. Now that I'm on my phone, I see it.

2) Pass Rusher

I won't argue with you on that, but the saints didn't even get the #1 rated pass rusher. This cost the Saints a pick this year and a FIRST ROUND pick next year for the second highest rated edge rusher, not the first. His hobbies are interesting too. I can't wait to see his contract details. Saints may be in a Ricky Williams situation all over again.
