Chris Stewart designated for assignment. Kinda surprised by this, as I'd rather have him in there as opposed to Perez.

One of the writers at Talking Chop surmised that this means Suzuki is progressing well and the Braves hope he clears waivers so he can go work with some of the AAA pitchers

That was my first thought. I know that all along their hope was he could be in Gwinnett working with the young kids. The injury apocalypse kind of destroyed that for now, but he hasn't really missed much.

However, that's gotta be one shitty sit down talk. "Chris, we like you a lot, we think you are going to be a great AAA catcher. That's what we brought you here for". Oh.....great.

another off day this early is stupid since the team is in Atlanta and not in a place that could have snow problems.

Its going to snow because even God knows that Tucker is going off for 4 bombs this series and he wants to save Colorado the embarrassment.

This stadium is living up to its billing today. Balls flying everywhere.

I'm always amused by the guys who refuse to wear sleeves noatter what the conditions are. This Colorado pitcher is showing no effects whatsoever from the cold. he doesn't blow on his hands or anything.

Yea it never made much sense and I HIGHLY doubt it intimidates anyone if that's what they're trying to do.I hated playing in cold weather in HS.

BTW it seems like pitchers don't put on warm up jackets anymore when they get on base.Im assuming it's because of better insulated undersleaves.

And then you have guys who always wear sleeves. Not a big deal now with the material they use, but Pendleton used to wear those heavier long sleeve shorts back in the day in the heat of summer.

FIne... if no one else is going to say it I will. We’re going to win the World Series this year. We will sweep the Yankees. There. I said it.

I put 10 on us at 175/1 on my recent Vegas trip. Should have thrown down 50 or a 100
