Middleton was hitting so many unrealistic shots in G3. Without that crazy 4th Q, we are up 3-1. But I think we can shut them down tonight

Seeing Collins without Trae really helps you realize that Collins is in no way a max player at the moment.

And Trae wasn't even close to Trae in the final game. That fking ref ruined Atlanta's season. Trae basically defered 90pct of that game when he was in because he wasn't 100pct. Frustrating

The team without him just gives it Gallo, Reddish , Bogi and they just jack up the most unrealistic shots. The offense was god awful in that last game.

The Bucks were also draining an absolute fk ton of shots that were heavily contested. It was like - what can you do.

Would they have been better off by not playing him? They won one that way.

Yes I think so. On the flip side, it’s hard to fault a guy for going out and giving everything he had. It was just a sucky situation from a freak accident. Maybe that ref will get out of the way next time.

Definitely don’t blame him. It just doesn’t create that someone else has to step up mentality when an injured star plays.

Maxing homegrown players gives you far more flexibility against the cap. We could max Collins and still bring in someone else. There will be more money to spend and talent if we keep Collins as long as ownership is willing to pay for it.

The only reason to max Collins is if you think it will keep Trae happy and productive. He is not a max player.

Need to do everything you can to keep him, especially after you see this:

List of FA PF's.

Suffice to say, the list sucks.

I mean that list isn't good but you still don't overpay for John Collins

The market is what the market is.

Who do you replace JC with? His overall game got loads better this season. But he definitely sacrificed some offense in place of defense.

I think if you can use him as part of a package to get someone like Beal or Lillard, you do it.

True, but can Cam Reddish play the position or is he too small?

Yeah, he's only 23 and his pick and roll game is pretty strong with Trae. I'm not sure I'd max him, but I wouldn't let him go easily. He has plenty of room to improve and has shown that he still can.

I have been the biggest advocate for getting Beal on here and the MSB, but not at the expense of JC.

Hard pass.

You and I are on an island w/this one. Everyone else wants to throw him out w/the bath water.

Cam is more of a true 3.

And FWIW, Nate Mac compared Cam to a young Paul George. That is high praise. And Nate just doesn't throw out platitudes.

JC turned down $90,000,000 so in all honesty he’s not going to entertain an offer less than $105,000,000.

Derrick Martel Rose as an addition to the Hawks makes my head swim in how good this could be…

Trae like Lebron will be calling the shots on what and who he wants around him as this is the NBA today most likely and he’s tight with JC.
