The women have some ground to make up but we have some of our best events coming up.

14 scored out of 17. Good news is that the women will score 3 total in the pole vault. With the top two most likely going to us. If Werner can win the 3000, the vaulters can put it away.

I saw on twitter that we have to score 7th or higher in the 4x400 to clinch at least a share of the title.

Kinda stinks for the men but if they can get some points in this final event, they are guaranteed a top 20 finish which was overachieving considering our national ranking is 35th.

Meanwhile they're contesting the 4x4 women's finish but it doesn't matter lady's are a lock regardless of disqualification.

ETA: Going into the last heat AR men are guaranteed 5th in the 4 by 4

A good job of keeping us up to date on all things Indoor track related this season, thanks BRM.

A big win for the ladies. I think they led coast to coast this season, from the first meet to the final NCAA Championships.

The men at least finished in the top 15, which is a big improvement for us. Sigh. The glory days of men's track are definitely in the rear view mirror.

NP. I’ve always loved athletics and every since I got my shite together and started training again, I’ve started to enjoy it even more.

I’m going to turn this thread into the 2019 Track Thread. That way when people check in it’ll just be there without having to make an effort.

All weeks relevant info will always be in the OP.

You are a saint and a good person. It can be a real pain trying to find track results.

So is it safe to say that we have at least made it back to being a track school?

Outdoors is a different beast. Good luck to the men and women this outdoor season. Update in OP.

Outdoor track will be a real challenge for the ladies. USC seems to have passed Nike University... I mean Oregon out on the West Coast while LSU continues to rebuild their women's program.

LSU is to women's track what we are to men's track, the greatest program in the history of the sport. Its good to see them returning to prominence though it will make our quest for a national title a lot more difficult.

This weekend will be a good look at who we got this outdoor season. For those that don't know, indoor and outdoor track plus CC are all different sports. This means that you can red shirt one or more and compete in others in the same year.

That's why the rankings can get weird. In all track meets, it's less important to win the meet than it is to get a individual time that will qualify you for nationals. The more that qualify, the better chance you have to win the title at year's end.

For the coaches it's a juggling act getting your athletes to peak at the right time to qualify while also managing your red shirts to be a consistent strength between the sports (seasons). Harter has done a pretty good job this year. Bucknam, as always, has roster issues this year. We are either one or none deep with the exception of the Decathlon for some dumb arse reason.

Mismanagement of roster and assistants is where Anderson and Bucknam really hold themselves therefore our program back.

Kinda meh week last week for most the men and women athletes at the Texas Relays. Gabe Moore did Gabe Moore things finishing 2nd in the Decathlon in a pretty loaded field. Both squads get a bump, OP updated.

Well better to be number 2 then number 100. Hopefully we will round into shape as the season goes along for the women. We need some high finishes across the board of course to put a great team into the nationals.

The men are... well... we aren't dead last.
