No problem OP updated and results link is also in the OP.

You, sir, are a steely eyed missile man. You've done great work in keeping things update.

We are darn lucky as a group on here. We have three folks that have really done an amazing job in covering three sports.

OK, not football, but I don't think any of us have a masochistic streak that big.

Women can't statistically lose at this point. Men lock in third with 1 event left (4x4). Both will finish right were they were supposed to.

Women should run up the score here in the 5k.

The difference for the men between 3rd and 2nd was Gabe's underachieving in the decathlon and not getting qualifyers from multiple sprinters. NH on the vault and DNF in the 1500 from Gabe. I bet he's got a fire under his arse and will put on a clinic next meet. Should have got 10 or 8 from him. On the bright side, the men's 4x4 put in a SB and might have got a national qualifier. Good meet as both teams finished right where they were supposed to.

ETA: Moore apparently strained a hamstring on Friday evening. More bad luck for the Men.

What do you see the men and women doing in the nationals? I think the women have a shot at another title and I'm hoping the men can finish in the top 15 at least.

Nationals is a numbers game. The more you qualify the better chance you have to win a team title. Top 48 performances put up nationally before the qualifying end date get to go to prelims. Best prelim times go to Nationals. There's almost no chance the women don't repeat. This is the strongest and deepest team Harter has ever had. The men are qualifying 8 as of today based on past performances. Honestly, that could work to their advantage since there won't be a lot of qualifiers having to run multiple races. E.G. they could push the pace and get points where they otherwise wouldn't in a season meet. Top 10 isn't a stretch and if they get a few breaks 5th-6th could be possible.

It's actually kind of effed up because the way nationals are run, conference championships really don't mean anything. However, top performances is the most fair way to choose.

Edited for clarity on qualifying.

Another national title for the ladies would be great. As for the men... a top 10 finish would be stellar.

I am looking forward to your analysis leading up to the Nationals.

Apologies ahead of time if I don’t get to update in a timely manner. Family matriarch’s birthday and we gotta do it up for her 89th. She’s the last one too. Both my parents are dead but I digress. Just wanted to a. Let you know why I’m slacking b. Remind y’all that there is more important shite than Arkansas sports. Cheers!

Great job by the women. Hopefully they can perform up to their abilities at nationals and get another title.

Day One events scored with only two Razorbacks competing Boit (10000) and Sullins (Hammer) in finals. No points scored as Boit just didn’t have his best stuff finishing just outside the points range for ninth and Sullins finishing 21st.

Men’s 4x4 qualified for finals as did Griffith in the 1500 which are guaranteed points.

No one qualified in the 100 out of 2 starters in the preliminaries or the 400 hurdles which was kind of a screw job based on heats and Boyd also failed to qualify in the 200.

Moore is currently 4th in the decathlon.

3 in position to score points with a top 20 possible, but with so few making it past prelims, top 10 seems out of reach.

Women had no preliminaries or scoring events on day one.

ETA men qualify for finals in the 4x1 as well. It wasn’t posted. Sorry.

After Thursday’s action, the ladybacks lead with the majority of points coming from a pole vault championship from Hoggard.

The women get finals qualifiers in every event they were entered into except the 1500. The one disappointment was Peyton Chadwick’s false start in the 200 which disqualified her from the race. This is really too bad because the ladybacks will miss on some automatic points because of it.

The men’s decathlon also finished last night with Moore finishing 3rd putting the first points on the board for the Razorbacks.

I’d say the bigger disappointment was only getting points from Hoggard in the PV. I just don’t see how they win now. Hope I’m wrong.

Lucky for you, you are wrong. The only things scored yesterday for the women were the 10000 and the field events. Which they received a number one (pole vault) and number 4 finish (10000) for 15 respectively. Little early to be freaking out.

We are Razorback fans. We are conditioned to freak out. Still, while we left some points out there we have a ton of events left to go.

I was hoping for points from either Jacobus or Freier. We need all we can get to beat USC.

I get you but remember USC didn’t qualify for a single distance race. Chadwick really did Shaddy that 200 prelim though.
