re: We're 6–0 in Muss' first year. Mike Anderson only had one year of eight with a 6–0 start.

So far, so good. The good news is that this team is going to be hard to score against unless the other team has about 3 really good guards and a dominant big man. The offense will come. It's just gonna take more time.

Desi Sills showed some flashes of being exceptional tonight. I still have high hopes for him.

We stubbornly kept trying to do the same thing.

Really hope they look back and learn on that one. Was awful watch and gave me PTSD.

Agreed. We would have and should have run them off the court. They were gassed in the first half and we didn’t take advantage at all.

He's a good slashing guard when given space.

His 3pt shooting takes so fricking long it's awkward. he either needs to learn to catch and let fly or just immediately drive to kick or score.

If we are going by efficiency than more than once or twice but it is still very early in the season. We would obviously score more points with Anderson but that was partly because both teams had more possessions.

There was a stretch there where he hit a 3, ripped a defender and put it in from about 15 feet and then took it up over their big guy twice in a row. I really like his game.

Seems like a more athletic version of Beard.

Needs to get his outside shot to fall though.

Still waiting for Reggie Chaney to have a breakout game as well. He will get there sooner than later I hope.

Offensively i think we will have some frustrating games this season, defensively we are gonna terrorize some people. They are all over every damn thing. Fun to watch us play defense.

Muss said in his press conference slowing down the offense was a mistake, they are going to watch film and fix that.
Pretty refreshing to hear that he realized that he messed up and needs to fix it.

Do we really need a comparison to Mike after literally every game?

This.

Yep. Good news is this OOC allows for us to tune up before then. Won't be the greatest resume in the world, but we need the time to get ready, IMO.

We have a legit shot to be undefeated before conference play starts.

WKU and Indiana are the only real worries I have in that regard.

Bassey is going to get after us.

Last night should be a lesson, will have to dictate the pace better and get some uptempo open looks.

That half court garbage between Joe and Jones up top isn’t going to cut it.

Whitt also has to be hitting than shot.

Indiana is going to be a very tough out. Their program is on the rise and we will be in their gym.

WKU will be as well.

LOL these are Mikes players so he's doing what he can with them and we would've 100% lost by double digits if Mike coached that game last night. If he hadn't got Whitt to transfer back can you imagine the lack of offense Mike left us with?

We scored more points against this team in regulation last year, when their best player wasn’t injured...

Also Whitt had a terrible game so not sure why you would bring him up here.

You mean Joe and Jones passing it back and forth to each other for 20 seconds isn’t a good strategy? Blasphemy!

I like Musselman but if we’re going to make the tournament we have to figure out the offense quick. We’ve played a really crappy schedule so far, and while the GT win is good they were without their leading scorer from last year.
