we knew we were over achieving. we are playing against a team that recruits in the top 10, and we are clicking on offense for once. we can still win games down the stretch. should be 3-2 after tonight. not 2-3

Defense is going to struggle against teams like a&m, Georgia, Bama.

This game would have been closer had we not had so many negative plays near their red zone. We would have had to play perfect on offense to win.

Momentum matters a ton in games like this, especially playing away. Get those 2 field goals and it is a 5 point game with some momentum perhaps. Sucks, but we are most improved for sure!

Briles play calling has me worried.

ya those 20 second scoring drives with 3 freshman first year starting O linemen, and 1 senior who isn't NFL material really has me shaking in my boots

I'll let the season play out and reserve judgement.

But his trick Big 12 plays need to go.

It more our shitty Oline than the play calling.

Yeah we knew we’d have a few games like this. At least they showed some fight toward the end.

I worry that we may have been a bit exposed on defense but most teams we play won’t have as many weapons as A&M had. The few times we actually got pressure on Mond he made perfect throws anyway. Not much you can do about that. Hate A&M but think there’s a good chance they go 9-1 this year.

We really need to win next weekend. Tennessee’s offense has struggled a bit and it’s at home. @ Florida is probably a loss which would make three in a row and can’t let it spiral out of control.

I actually think A&M may be a worse matchup for us than Alabama. I don't think we'll see anything worse this year.

One - Burks WR pass that would have been a TD if he set his feet but I'm not gonna take anything from Burks tonight.

Beyond that this was our offensive production:

Total Yards = 461
Pass Yds = 239
Rush Yds = 222

Franks = 23/31 239 yards 3 TDs and 0 INTs

Going into this game the most yards the Aggies gave up rushing was vs. Bama (109 on 28 carries at 3.89 yards per carry).

We ran for 222 on 28 carries which is 5.3 ypc.

Which is pretty amazing considering our rushing game being dogpoop prior to this game. The issue once again was special teams. The horrible punt early that gave them great field position and the two missed field goals (albeit not chip shots) also killed momentum whil giving the Ags good field position as well.

The main problem is that we are thin at almost every position on the field. Jacobs quitting hurt our depth - although I'd rather not have a player who supposedly doesn't show up to practice on our team. Catalon being ejected was a HUGE loss.

Was glad to see Dorian Gerald back but the only time I noticed him was on that bad offsides penalty on 3rd and 4. Hopefully he makes more of an impact in the next few weeks when he’s healthier.

I didn’t realize A&M had such an experienced OL. The graphic they showed had all of them with 18-35 starts for every single starter. That will win you a lot of games.

Offense actually looked the best they have all year IMO. Boyd looked healthy and ran like it for the first time.

This one is much more on the defense. A&M's Oline played a great game. Never could get pressure on Mond and he just sat back till the big TE found a soft spot in the coverage or handed it to spiller for 5 yards.

I thought the offense looked great tonight and we are really starting to see flashes of what Briles can do. We just really need a second WR that can get open consistently like Burks. Woods and Warren show flashes occasionally but not enough to keep us going. We really need one of these freshman coming in to step up and be that guy.
