I mean you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.

Basketball and baseball are fine.

Football has been on life support for years. It is incredibly difficult to fix something that badly broken.

I get that the right coach could make a difference but getting that coach to come here at this point in time is a long shot or simply a guess as to who might could be that person at this point.

Not sure you can replicate the Calipari situation with our football program. I think the problem with our football program is more systemic. So you are going to see what you are seeing now, the rinse and repeat thing, until there is a break (if there ever is one). Or continue changing the different parties in the equation until you hopefully reach the situation where the stars all align. We really are at the point where we are saying let’s keep pulling various levers until hopefully something works.

And I get the frustration and emotion with the state of our program and all that is going on. Football was always my favorite.

Eric Morris was hired by Oklahoma State after waiting for an Arkansas offer.

Hunter hired Ryan Silverfield.

No, he did not do the best he could do.

I understand why we didn't fire Pittman in 2023 now.

On the bright side the fanbase is finally united in purpose again!

Gotta watch as Okie State puts together a superior program to us for another 15 years

Eric Morris isn’t that great. He’s worse than Silverfield.

Morris…who has a losing season at North Texas and was 11-14 as a head coach going into this season. He has put up 10 wins this season but has avoided Memphis, Tulane, and ECU teams that are in the top half of the American standings. He did get Navy at home and beat them. Otherwise, his other 9 wins this season are against teams that are 10-25 in American play and Wazzu (5-6), Lamar (FCS), and South Alabama (4-7).

I guess my point was more that there was not going to be any home run hire because you are not going to get that person to come here in this climate. We can quibble about who might be above who in the crowd of people we don’t really want but it is a gamble that any one of them, whoever it is, can come here and make a real difference with this program.

You also will not fix the problem by trying to go the cheap route. We are in a spot where we have to overpay someone to come here. Our AD prefers to only overpay to keep someone that nobody else wants. Dude is an epic failure so far. I am curious to know the rationale behind keeping Yurachek around to make this hire.

You can lie to yourself all you want, but don't expect us to believe it with you.

bullshite. VANDY is 10-2. We are 2-10. The fans need to totally ghost the program with their money and presence until we get wholesale changes.

Ryan Silverfield. What a fricking joke.

Silverfield is also 8-3 against teams coached by Lashlee, Morris, Sumrall, and Golesh.

Nobody is lying but Morris had one good season at North Texas and it’s because he had a schedule against the bottom half of the American.

Morris would have been a worse hire than Silverfield.

We need a football person as an AD. A frank broyles or Barry Alvarez type. We have a bean counter.

I agree with you. When you look at other football programs around us there is literally no reason why we should not be doing as well as they are. I think we showed we had the talent to be competitive this season but couldn’t win. Honestly I don’t have any good answers to fix it and dig out of the hole.

Silverfield had the most NIL resources in the American.

Silverfield has a losing record against teams .500 or better.

Silverfield never won the American or played in the championship game.

Good thing Arkansas has more resources than everyone else in their league and has a schedule largely of sub.500 teams so he too can take the hogs to the liberty bowl.

Silverfield isn't a joke, jokes are funny. This is giving up after not even trying from a lazy arse incompetent AD.

Hiring Eric Morris would have been a worse hire.

You definitely don’t want to look up how Eric Morris has fared against teams with winning records….hell, how he fared against teams with losing records.

Again, before his easy schedule this season…he was a whopping 11-14 as a head coach. You’re essentially clamoring for hiring Sam Pittman or Chad Morris at this point. At least Silverfield is 50-25 as a head coach.

Silverfield was the worst hire possible.

That would be Eric Morris.

Go gather some records of him vs. teams above .500 for us. Also gather his record against teams .500 or less. Or tell us how many losing seasons he had at UNT out of three seasons as a head coach.

There's no shortage of good to great coaches that would take 7 million a year to coach at Arkansas. Thinking we just can't get one to reluctantly take our money and be the highest paid public employee in the state is asinine.

Having a large amount of candidates go a different direction because the person interviewing them is an idiot is definitely possible. But this is not the best we could do.

This hire screams half assed and lazy, which is right in line with what our administration has consistently put out really since the Petrino hire. That was the last competent decision we have made.

How we managed to hire Muss is beyond me.

You think North Texas is an equal job to Memphis?

How much is Hunter paying you to sell this hire? He hasn't been able to do it himself thus far as it is such as shitty hire even the media is struggling to come up with the spin.

Still waiting on those records as you posted of Silverfield.

You’re literally clamoring for a coach that was 11-14 at North Texas prior to this season.

Take a break…
