That said, with news starting to leak about a second player that may not be back that has been leaked who has been rumored to be connected to the first player, it's looking more and more like their might be some truth to it
I'll go ahead and say what the rumors are that I'VE heard, from a pretty trustworthy person. I'm not scurred.
Devo and second player are gay, possibly a third player even. But something happened with Devo and player 2 possibly being "together", and it had an impact on the team to the point that coaches got involved. I don't know if player 2 was involved with this part as well, but it's well-known that Devo argued with and went off on coaches, had a huge falling out with the coaching staff over whatever event brought it all to a head.
Supposedly Devo was being extremely difficult and arguing with coaches regularly before this, but him "stepping away" was because of one final straw event. Reading the tea leaves, it sounds like he's quit because he believes the coaches and team are against him and this other player being involved in uhhhh... off-the-court "ball control" practice.
This could all be 100% bullshite, but at least I'm not scared to post what the whispers are.

If he leaves then it isn't because those are better jobs.
He might leave because he is facing one of the worst seasons in 20 years and if they have another bad year then he could be fired.
So he could be leaving as result of burnout and doesn't want to be fired when he could recover at a place with lower expectations.
