When did/do Bama/UGA go back to school? Because once it starts they have to ride out the semester. So probably be after the spring game for them maybe?

Not very many. It will be slim pickens for teams like Arkansas and that is if they're interested which is unlikely.

Alabama had 13 transfers last year, some of which went to the likes of Texas Tech, Miss State, and Maryland. Georgia had guys go to Tennessee, Ole Miss, and UCF. Let's slow down with the woe-is-me stuff until it actually comes to pass.

If you expect to get the best players from Bama and Goergia through the portal then you are mistaken. No one is going to raid those teams. If you are getting an answer from random message board posters then you are looking in the wrong place.

Ray of fricking sunshine. No one is saying we are getting the best. Saban isn’t running Bryce Young off, but if we can get 5 stars that didn’t fit their systems, we can be a consistent top 10 team, and then we will start taking the 5 stars from high school.

He should. They weren't good enough to win the natty this year. The way you improve is you send your starters packing

Has anyone suggested that we'd be raiding their best players, Eeyore?

Hurts got sent packing when Saban got tired of his play on the field.

Hurts got sent packing when they had another QB come in and win them a national title

We will not become a consistent top 10 team every year getting players they don't want. Yes it wouldn't hurt to take them in but that doesn't mean they are going to change the trajectory of the program. They could do well here or not but I don't expect them to a huge boost when you can do better in improved recruiting. They should be looked at as patching holes of needs on a team. Arkansas has to be much better in recruiting if they ever going to beat them on the field. It would be different if Arkansas had what it took to get the better players from in NIL. Bama has the market cornered and they will pay whatever it takes to get or retain what players they believe are good. We cannot compete in what has been business as usual for decades. The NIL just makes it legal on the surface.

The best ways for Arkansas to compete is by retaining Sam Pittman as much as possible and find different ways in recruiting that can get better players to Arkansas.

Saban wasn't happy with his games before that and had he left him in against Georgia then they would have lost. So it seems that Tua was pushing him in practice for awhile. If he stayed then he would lose his position. He saw would happen to him and left.

Not sure, but I'd say there's a good chance. From St. Louis, DeSmet HS. Odom and Leblanc had recruited him but signed with Mizzou.

Mekhi is not related to Ronnie.

Ronnie's younger brother Ryan is in the 2024 class.

Topical: Bama just had the following players enter the portal:

— TE Jahleel Billingsley
— LB Drew Sanders
— QB Paul Tyson
— LB King Mwikuta
— OL Tommy Brown

I'd take all of them, sight unseen. The white dude tackle machine LB is the one that really stands out.

Some folks say he has a chance to be the #1 recruit in the country. We will see.

Wasn’t Drew Sanders the one who started following Pittman and Odom recently?

I hope so. Apparently he's from NE Texas. Most transfer guys end up closer to home than where they originally committed.

OU has also been mentioned as a possible destination.
