Wright didn’t disclose how much he pays the players he sponsors, other than to say it ranged from $100 to several hundred and also included gift cards. Prentice said the university reviews each contract to make sure each is in compliance with the law, but otherwise the university said contracts are protected by federal privacy laws.

I know for a fact it isn't much money but it's a start from the locals.

Sassy's has a similar agreement

Hats off to the locals that are stepping up

What is the catfish hole doing? Or JJs? Grubs? Seems all the ones I have seen have been food related locally.

Trey Knox does have Pet Smart though.
Treylon Burks has Banded hunting gear I believe.

Is this a good place to drop the fact we let montaric brown down in a huge way here at Arkansas. One of the best defenders we've ever had and no publicity.

I'm not privy to what Jody is doing at JJ's.
Grubs is a very doubtful contributor imo.

Pat has the Chuckles show on lock.
Doubt Janie is donating.

RIP Pat.

All these people saying "he cant throw" clearly do not remember Nick Marshall.

Hornsby would have transformed our program into long-term legitimacy if he stayed.

Now we'll be back to irrelevancy after KJ leaves (if not before).

I didn't even have to read the handle to know this post was made by either CFBfanatic, STLhog, or DChog

Y'all melt with the best of them and always seemed to be pissed off over relatively nothing.

Relax, we'll be fine without Hornsby or even the rest of the transfers. What difference would Hornsby have made over the next 2 years anyway?

We have a good recruiting class and a thousand other players in the portal to work with, and if this coaching staff were doing something wrong we wouldn't have decent players transferring IN like we do.

We all know Pittman and crew are hitting the portal hard right now to make up for some of the talent and depth lost, if we can see it then they certainly can too. They have a much better handle on the situation than any poster on a message board, it's their job to plug the gaps and win games. I think we'll be pleasantly surprised with the results, just like Pittman's results so far.

In short, calm the frick down.

My only hope is restrictions will be put in place so that he won't have to figure it out.

Those that are bitching about it, care to expand on this? I read the tweet and didn't really see the problem...

Is it the fact that he reiterated that Arkansas will continue to do NIL the "right way?" Sure that's a little corny, but he's the AD. What do you expect him to say, while also trying to pump up the NIL program here? "We're gonna try our hardest to skirt the rules and make college sports at Arkansas into a semi-pro system where players are paid to entice them to come, or for simply coming on to campus and playing a game! #WooPig"

If you actually do the reaearch, read about it, and talk to people involved in it, the NIL program at Arkansas is very organized and legit and players are reaping the rewards.

They have fully embraced it, and I promise you Hunter and everyone else involved know that this is the new landscape of college sports and that they can't afford to be left behind. It's the actual donors to the NIL program and sponsors that need to get caught up and start shelling out more money, not the University or AD.

They do get it but the competition is intense and Arkansas is facing other states with deeper pockets.

Just like Kam Curl, and half the fans disliked him while playing here.

Pretty much. Of all the people who left, I’m least worried/most expected this. Been saying it was going to happen all year if he didn’t get on the field. Would have loved to see him at receiver with his speed.

What did everyone expect from a guy who complained about the salary of coaches. The buyouts and wanting performance based pay?

So blow your wad in the beginning trying to out spend aTm? And when it was the Wild West and people were getting paid discretely during the SWC how much did that money help aTm?

He could have been a big asset with his speed, but we had other speed guys who didn't pan out. I would have liked to see him play more after watching him outrun everyone in the bowl game but he wants to be full time qb I guess so his chances are better somewhere else.

I wasn't impressed with him at qb other than the occasional run and that's not enough to feel comfortable about him running the offense IMO.

I wish him luck wherever he winds up.

Yeah, I don’t remember him throwing really. I remember a few shots early in the season, one that was about 5 yards to far and one that was on the money but 3 yards to the left.

Lets just say they really have generated $1M (which we know is probably closer to 800K or 900K), for 96 athletes. Even if you just average that out, it's only about $10K for every athlete.

Aggy just paid $25M for a single football class alone... For 28 recruits. That averages to almost $1M per recruit, and Hunter is our here bragging about how every athlete at the UofA basically equals one big football recruit at A&M.

It's laughable that anyone thinks what Arkansas is doing right now is sustainable to keep up with A&M, Texas, Alabama, UGA, or even LSU and Auburn.

It's so typical Arkansas mindset it hurtsm

Cheap, naive, and clueless flaunting of some kind of faux moral superiority that gets you 4-8 wins every year, while the "dirty" programs rack up national titles and playoff berths and take in millions upon millions.

Sam needs to sit Hunter down one day and open the books on how Georgia and Alabama did business when it was all still under the table. I bet HY would be as shocked as Drive Time Rick who said yesterday there's no way any college athlete was making $1M off NIL.

He's so beyond clueless at this point, I don't think it can be turned around.

Hunter better wake the fuk up.
