What do we think the initial downward spiral catalyst was?

it sucks man, and it is not sustainable at all. Something needs to be done to change it period.

I know some on here have given Hy a bad rap over this, but he is absolutely right about what is happening. Now, with that said, he needs to participate to the best of our ability to hold on until/if the changes do happen... while lobbying for those changes to the PTB!

Freezus is having a field day at Aubbid with this. No longer need the slot machines programmed with the payouts to players at the casino now... It is all in the open. Wonder if the escorts are still around however... More money, more______!

First round of conference realignment in 2011-2012 was the canary in the coal mine.

It was wholly predicated on TV contracts and money. Once the conferences and schools started making so much money, it was an inevitability that a player would eventually bring litigation.

The true Waterloo moment for college sports as we knew it was the 2019 ruling on the class action suit after the O'Bannon ruling.

When they started screwing with traditional bowl time slots, along with conference realignment as stated above

Most of that made college football special is gone, sadly.
I bet it’s still pretty awesome for alabama and Georgia. Face it guys, what makes you lose interest in college football more than anything is the product on the field put out by the university of Arkansas. College football sucks because we suck

HY and the administration fought the nil, that's on them.

Other SEC teams are leaps and bounds ahead of us in winning seasons as well as their collective funds.

I hate the current situation with where the NCAA is heading.

But the blame lands on our current administration.

College football was better when Saban wasn't in Tuscaloosa.

Since this tweet:

- 2 new Arkansas players in the portal
- 1 de-commit
- 2 misses on transfer players
- 1 played arrested for burglary
- 2nd Arkansas transfer commits to another SEC team

Talk about a jinx

If we get who is rumored... I have no problem with what we have lost.

Just don't believe the rumors, as of yet!

Not just that but college football had parity and you didn't see the same teams dominate each year.

and that really doesn't bother me one bit. I am not real high on giving a HS kid a huge nil deal to begin with. What? And he leaves within 24 months for more elsewhere. In stead, get a portal dude.
