If Mike were to go, I'd like to see Marshall.

my big gripe with Mike these days is how passive he is on the sidelines.... Nolan's teams played with an edge because he coached with an edge... Mike seems to have lost it.
The way the refs call our games he should have totally lost his s*** on them by now.... but he just stands there and takes it.

Mike never had an edge. That’s not his personality.

How many people think MA's system (or lack thereof) will ever bring us an SEC or National Championship?

SEC regular season championship - doubtful. Probably won't ever win enough on the road to really be in play. The one year it all comes together we'll still lose 5 or 6 games, which won't be good enough to win the league.

SEC Tournament championship - plausible. Mike's proven he can get to the championship game. Last year it took Vandy knocking off Florida, but that just goes to show you that anything can happen in the conference tournament.

National Championship -

If mike does have a system, he doesn't use it very often.

The opponent is often dictating tempo and style of play. He rarely tries to take them out of it anymore. I don't know if he's given up, but you never see the gritty stuff.

When we were down 15 or 20 and nothing was working, he should have thrown the full court or 3/4 court trap at them, just to piss them off. What coudl have been worse? losing by 25?

Mike's "system" is entirely too dependent on the will of the referees in any particular game. His defensive strategy is stuck in the 90s when big guys couldn't dribble for shite.

Mike was an excellent assistant to Nolan because his pacifying temperament offset Nolan's fire.

To play the style we keep trying to play, you have to coach with some fire.
It's not in Mike's nature to motivate, and apparently we don't have any coach on the bench who can.

One game makes all the difference in the world.

Here is the deal for me, if we don't beat KY this year at home... I WILL BE PIZZED!

So people want to fire Mike Anderson - a coach who has never had a losing season - only to replace him with a hothead who started off at SC with two 14 win seasons and has only been to the NCAA tournament once in the past 6 seasons.

Not to mention that Martin has a losing record against Mike with them coaching at South Carolina and Arkansas respectively.

Whenever I think our fans can't get any worse:

Martin has a losing record against Mike. It's not one game.

By no means would I want Frank Martin. But he does have a final 4...

Sure he’d gladly wave that banner in Mike’s face

And? Larranaga’s done a better job at Miami than Anderson has here. Miami’s a football school

Don't bring that up to our fanbase. We have a ton of fans that would trade the death penalty for a few more wins. If we were hit with sanctions they would just switch t-shirts.
