It's a gamble with Norvell. But somebody took a gamble on Saban and all the successful upper level coaches at one point in time.
Other than Gus, I just don't think our job is attractive enough at the moment to pull an established successful coach away from and upper level school.
I would be okay with seeing what Norvell could do with it.

Let’s rein in the “give the AD job to JCP” talk. She executed a plan as she was told, one which was likely put in place weeks ago.
She’s doing an admirable job of filling in as interim, but let’s stop the overreaction to yesterday. Firing Bert was the easiest decision in the last 20 years of Razorback athletics — it’s not like she unexpectedly fired him midseason after the Toledo loss or made an unpopular decision against the wishes of the boosters.

I’m watching the Memphis game right now and I’m all aboard the Norvell train. I realize ECU sucks but his offense is fun to watch.
