Wasn’t little money all year hitting them deep? How did he not get in there?

Scott Fountain has had a similar 2021 arc to Jim Harbaugh.

Early season — “FARHISAZZ!”
Mid season — “eh, not bad, but not holding my breath”
End of season — “give him all the monies!”

Pittman definitely understands that special teams can tip the scale if you're under-talented. Fountain has improved us tremendously

Gave it to Mevis? Said he didn’t miss, but his team sucked and didn’t they say his deep was only 39 until Friday?

Like how bad was Morris at teaching special teams that it took fountain this long to rebuild.

Special teams is often a direct reflection and byproduct of your depth. It’s how you get young talent and backups on the field. If you’re paper thin on offense and defense, it’s usually borne out in your ST performance.

Morris deciding he was just going to start over from scratch in 2018 lead to the SNAFUs like the North Texas facepalm and the many other bed shittings that unit had under Morris.

PS. Little Cam ain’t shabby either.

Throw in the #1 deep snapper and an Aussie punter and who knows.

But like we went from not being able to cover even basic kicks. And tñthen even a minor adjustment would result in a touchdown.

Parodi has been a solid returner. I would say more but I don't want to jinx it.

To his credit Bauer is a gamer. The kid shows up to play. I think Little is under rated this year as well. He has had a few misses but we've won games this year with Little putting points in the bank for us reliably.
