All the words being said about Peavey and Storey, aren't good. Those words aren't coming from coaches. I would imagine Peavey will transfer out at seasons end.

I'm IN!!!!! Not that we have a choice. But I see the logic in the article. Still gonna bitch though. Still seeing dumbshit on the coaches part unrelated to what talent we have. And YES, I know better than they do.

He's actually a good qb, better than most in the SEC. But due to the shite he's been through he's never not been on a losing team. He's too used to it by now. I still think he's a competitor but not the level you need in the SEC.
And from the OP it's amazing how little depth we have on defense because of Petrino. Not only did we miss a year of recruits because of the aftermath, he phoned it in his last year before he was fired.
At one point we had a ridiculous stable of WRs and then in 2011 we only had Hamilton left. Everyone else sucked. And after Tyler Wilson all we had at QB was...Allen

Yeah, I just meant that everyone likes to pile on Allen but he was our only option. And he would have been our only option regardless of the coach.

Toughness is the only attribute you look for at QB.

Wilson missed games as well, and we all saw what he was when the skill players left.
Allen is more mobile and had a better arm the Wilson imo.

You can't compare Allen and Wilson. We have no idea what Allen could have done surrounded by the talent and system Wilson had in his good games.
And hate on his endgame ability all you want, but BA is putting up some impressive numbers so far this season. I really really hope he stops putting up those numbers because that would mean we are actually playing the way we should.

Allen is not uber talented, but he's talented enough for the offense we thought we were going to run. Looks pretty decent at times. He just shits in crunch time though. Reminds me of Romo.

Wilson's senior year wasn't that great with Paul calling the plays where he had only Hamilton to throw the ball too.
I like what Enos is moving the offense towards, however, the staff needs to load the roster with talent at WR and more athleticism along the Oline. These two areas need to be focused on this recruiting cycle.
On the defense, Smith and staff need to load up on LBs primarily and get anyone who can push the upper classmen for playing time in the secondary and at DE.
Basically, the recruiting classes have been a little "unbalanced" the need another "unbalanced" class this year at certain positions (not just in numbers but also talent).
Perhaps then, after looking at the roster, a balanced approach can be taken to sustain depth at all positions on the roster from this point forward.
Unfortunately looking back at the roster when Bert took over and the losses that would occur "immediately" in the first two years and now looking at the players that haven't panned out or have sustained injuries, its hard to honestly say he took over a rebuild job that would happen in any time shorter than 4-5 years, especially since he has taken the redshirt route (which Arkansas desperately needed) vs the JUCO route to balance out the roster in class standing due to all the losses that occurred from the classes immediately before his arrival.

this is key
Bert's decision to go the long road building the foundation the right way that has a high probability of working instead of going the quick fix route that might work with less stable foundation hurts in the short term, but is better in the long run. That decision tells me he knew his AD has his back until that plan is supposed to come to fruition, which should be like you said in 4-5 years. If it doesn't bare fruit, Bert's gone.

No one has patience anymore.
I'd rather not take the Tennessee approach to coaching changes and have year after year of excitement in the offseason with massive disappointment in season.
Basically I'd rather move past this season instead of relive it year after year like they have done for nearly a decade now.

This. Last year people wanted Les Miles fired. Now people want Malzahn, Saban, Kiffin, Spurrier, and Butch fired.
People are so reactionary and impatient that if they don't get the immediate results on a silver platter they lose their mind.
Bielema seems to be laying the foundation for something special. I'm not pleased with the on-the-field results this year at all. But I'm pretty happy with how he's building the team, what he's focused on (discipline, controlling the LOS, and developing players). The end of last season showed what teams will be capable of when we get our depth where it needs to be.

He's the right man for the job if you enjoy winning 6 - 8 games a year and not having a lot of off field problems. If you want more than that tough shite, he's 0-9 in close games for a reason.
