That shite was ridiculous. It's understandable our offense would struggle...but with the exception of the 3rd quarter, it's like we didn't have a defensive coach on the sideline. Over this shite.

Against Bryce he inexplicably put our secondary in a position to fail too many times. Against the backup, his defense couldn’t stop the run when we knew they were going to run. Pretty bad for being in your third year.

Part of the issue is trying to play more man to man without the horses to do so.

I don’t know why it would be any more acceptable for our offense to struggle to the extent they are, than for our defense to be struggling.

Our defense had only given up 70 something yards rushing to Bama by the time they completely gassed out late in the third quarter. Secondary can’t cover a statue, but run D was decent for 3 quarters.

Offense can’t run the ball when we need to run. Can’t pass the ball when we need to throw. Can’t even maintain possession long enough to give the D a blow between posessions. I just don’t see where we are any further along on the offensive side of the ball. KJ should be taking big improvement steps in game management, situational awareness, accuracy, and running the offense effectively. Nope. Withe the exception of Haselwood, it seems none of our wide receivers can run precise routes, or get separation from defenders. Play execution is poor. We had 3 illegal formation penalties today.

The O line is better from experience. Running backs are decent, but we almost never exploit what seems to be those strengths. Have we ran more than three halfback screens all season? How many short throws to running backs out of the backfield, whether to the hash or in the middle?

I just don’t see where Briles is getting it done any more than Odom.

Scored 26 points. Gave up 49. Multiple long TDs when we really shouldve had a stop. We can bitch about Briles too but Odom didn't even show up to work today

Offense gassed the defense in the first half. We had 1 scoring drive, and I think 3 first downs in the first half. You can’t do that to a defense. Not ours. We don’t have the depth for it.

The offense punted the ball five times and fumbled on another in the first half.

Offense gave the defense the entire third quarter off

That was nice of them, but the damage was done. Then you have the hole we were in, once they started playing a little.

All the motion and shifting in Briles’ offense makes us susceptible to IF and false start penalties.

I get that it’s a staple of the Baylor offense and part of what makes it work (?) but it gives me anxiety on damn near every down, and we’re not disciplined enough to run it well.

I don't remember anywhere near the amount of shifting and moving in Art Briles baylor offense. They legit spread you out as much as possible.

Let’s be honest though the 70 yd 3rd down run doesn’t happen if Domenick isn’t getting drug down by his face mask. Watch the replay. He was trying to get inside to shut down the running lane and the Bama OL grabs his face mask and prevents him from getting inside.

Absolute piss poor no call at a critical moment in the game by the officials.

The other stuff though like poor tackling and secondary always looking lost is on Bary since he coaches safeties.

I’m also not sold on Dominique Bowman either.

The fact that this staff has had 3 years to recruit and we still have former walk ons starting in the secondary should be a huge red flag, especially given the new rules with the portal.

Slusher is the only nationally ranked recruit that Odom has signed in his entire career.
