All I can figure is that they never practice a snap from under center any more.

razorback football low for me

That happened for me when jeff long got up to the podium and fired Petrino. That was seriously my lowest point as a Hog football fan. I practically lost all hope.

Legitimate question: what does it honestly matter? Football programs of our stature have it in within themselves to be above average and achieve occasional greatness. But programs of our stature don't come back from the last decade. They just don't. The university and boosters played too fast and loose with our fate.

Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.

Yup I thought we would get 8 given the schedule. Easiest path to 8 wins we've had in years. With a senior QB. Not going to get there though

I said 5–7/6–6. We don't live in the world of logic with football. Despite everything you said, it just wasn't happening.

I somehow likely overshot with five wins, which does surprise me.

Arkansas embraced a loser attitude years ago.

I see no reason why Arkansas couldn't win 7-8 games with this team.

Petrino almost won 8 games in 2008 with less talent.

Me neither. Except for the whole offensive line coach as an extended interim head coach thing. So I knocked back the win total a little bit.

But Petrino brought ingenuity. As an opposing coach, you knew your offense was going to have to overcome that level of value-add he brings offensively. He was the opposite of three yards and a cloud of dust because you couldn’t predict 2 of every 3 plays. Sam brings the exact.same.problem as Houston Nutt and Bielema.

We are not capable of playing that style of football successfully in this league. We cannot grind our way to victories. We HAVE to be innovative. There is no other way for Arkansas to raise its ceiling. The fact that two men with THIS much Arkansas history haven’t grasped this concept is baffling.

Honestly it is gross incompetence.

Arkansas needs to take baby steps first.

First they need to stop losing to shitty teams like Liberty and BYU and improve from that point on.

I thought Arkansas was past that but certainly not with Pittman.

I watched Hunter can Mike Anderson got lesser mediocrity. Sam probably needs to prep his lake house for retirement living.

He needs to but we make things hard here.

He will be given another year and will crash it.

And we will be back to ground zero again.

Our schedule is ridiculously front loaded. We should rack up some wins at the end of season and I’m afraid it’ll fool Hunter into thinking shite is fixed

This team will be fortunate to get any SEC win this year.

Losing to BYU was the beginning.

Psychology is such a big deal in football.

The problem is actually Enos….but Sam snap hired him so….

And Sam isn’t capable of overriding or directing either coordinator as he’s never been one. That’s really the problem.

I disagree, the problem is Sam...

Enos would do ok/well here with the line being up to snuff and a Qback who was set for his system. Like our backup. Look, I like KJ and Briles was able to use him to a system. Enos is trying to fit a square peg in a round hole... and Sam could change it, if he would. However, nobody is going to have much success with that Oline. It is terrible.

State, Auburn and Florida aren’t any good either. Mizzou hasn’t played anyone,
