His blood alcohol level was 0.08? So basically 2 beers.

Great job, police. Really out there making a difference

Those frickers are busting us for D-WE right on the button (.08), if we get a raging toothache on a Friday and you couldn't get a Dentist to prescribe hydrocodone 10mg for all the tea in China (that's been taken away) and now they are talking about Red Flagging our firearms that ol' grandpappy used to squirrel hunt. What's next, getting permission and filling out papers just to hose the wifey on a cool Autumn Friday night ? I'm tired of this excrement.

This is such an avoidable thing to happen. All the ride share services out there and NFL backup money. Play stupid games...

It used to be .10 before you were considered impaired. Still, if you think you might be getting close to .08, better err on the side of walking.

It all depends on if there was food in his stomach or not. At 250 he's a big ole boy and with food he could drink 6 5% beers in 2 hours and be just below the legal limit. If his stomach was empty than he could have hit the legal limit with just 3 beers in an hour or so. Alcohol is weird lol.

DWI is a misdemeanor?

First two are. 3rd is a felony. In Washington County for a 1st DWI you will likely not face any jail time (except the night you are in jail obviously), & no probation. Around $1,000-$2,000 in fines and court costs, a breathalyzer for 6 months, and a few classes. Plus the cost of your lawyer. This is extremly lenient compared to other states like Texas where a 1st offense is basically gauranteed to get you a year to 2 years of probation, $10,000 in fines, and if your judge thinks you're a POS or you have no lawyer, 15-30 days in jail which you can serve on weekends. Also the breathalyzer & classes.

I don't know if it is or not. I'm saying he'll get the dwi dropped to some lesser charge

That was far and away the most horrifying thing I've seen today and I checked out the Tiger Rant.
