Sam Pittman says that KJ threw Monday, but didn’t throw a lot yesterday. He also adds that Malik Hornsby has had a good week of practice and says they have confidence in him.

I haven't kept up with Hornsby since he signed. If KJ can't go how do y'all feel about him?

He’s raw but has a higher ceiling than KJ in my opinion. Not to be confused with being better than KJ right now. But I’d take Malik over a 60% healthy KJ

backup QB is the most popular player on every team since the War of 1812

KJ will still play anyways.

Cat and mouse injury games with Pittman in every press conference / depth chart.

That's a fact. It's also a fact that nobody knows who the backup QB is, when the starter is kicking arse. KJ has returned to his mean, which is moments of sheer brilliance separated by long periods of WTF? This has been the case for 3 years now, and I'm over it, and KJ. Time for some new blood, or to at least let Hornsby get his feet wet. It's not like we have anything to play for left this year and playing hurt can only make KJ's prospects worse.

He was fun to watch in HS. Didn’t he get a good amount of snaps in one game this season so far?

He played a lot against Mississippi State. Extremely fast but a little erratic with his passing and doesn't always make the best decisions but he also had a perfect throw for a long TD. From what I've seen he just needs to be more consistent.

Small guy with a cannon. Erratic, inexperienced, accuracy may be an issue.
He will let it fly and will be the fastest player on the field for both teams.

I’d honestly push that back to everything post Alexander the Great.

This whole thread is everyone saying all the positives with inexperience. Would we have been better off had he played last year?

I’d put it at 65% KJ comes back next year.

we’ll he’s damn sure not getting drafted so I’d bet he comes back. I doubt they ask him to look elsewhere because after being the qb for 2 years now thats just asking to tear apart the locker room

I'm sure you're right, but KJ isn't the guy and never will be. If he was ever going to kill it here, this was the year. Granted, we haven't had too much for him to throw to, but when you combine the drops with the missed open receivers and the open receivers who never were thrown to because of a bad or no read, overall performance has been pretty bad.

Farther back than that. Member when Barabbas was the backup at Jerusalem?

Hornsby should have stayed in the Portal.
