I had zero faith we were going to make that kick. We should’ve ran the ball on 2nd and 3 and 3rd down if needed. And went for it on 4th

Well thanks to my cat's medical emergency I missed the conclusion of that game. I can't say I'm sad about it.

Same.

Was telling my wife as they were lining up that we should go for it on 4th and 3 instead of kicking.

Not second guessing Pittman, just pointing out that I have no faith in our kicking game.

He's a first year HC that was handed a dumpster fire team. I kind of expect some mistakes like this.

I just don't understand why we are so bad on special teams, and have been for a decade now.

I don't know how to help you here. we're within the kickers made range. we just proved we couldn't get 3 yards with the offense. lets tie the game instead of losing trying to get 3 yards to only need to do the same thing again several more times to maybe win.

kicking was the right call.

I’m not disagreeing with the call. I’m simply saying I had less than 1% faith in that kid to make the kid. He damn near missed the chip shot he’s missed kicks way closer than that this year. I’m more pissed about the abysmal decision to throw a goddamn back shoulder fade on 2nd and 3

Bring back John L as a ST coach. If he didn't torpedo the program, I would actually be 100% serious. Since he did torpedo the program, but not as an assistant, I'm actually 90% serious now.

What I can't wrap my head around is how quite literally every SEC team we play has one of the best kickers in the country.

Seemingly every Saturday we watch opposing kickers nail 50+ yarders while we can't even make a fricking PAT.

Special teams shittiniess seems to be woven into the fabric of our program in terms of culture and history, like how we haven't been able to make free throws consistently in basketball for 30 fricking years.

All SEC schedule. Most SEC teams have good depth and thus good ST. We have shite depth and thus shite ST.
